Overkill for us above the water
I got this bag for clam digging and let me tell you it does the job. However, it is a bit much for just holding clams. I would imagine if you are a diver going for Abalone or urchin this is a lot more useful. If you are just digging in the mud or sand on the shore, I would suggest going with a "laundry bag" or "laundry shoe" bag. It is nowhere near as heavy-duty but does the job for a fraction of the cost.

Not great for scalloping
Great bag, it's sturdy and will hold up. However, I purchased with intent to use while scalloping and it proved to not be so great for that purpose. The hole on the handle is too small to wear on your wrist, so you only have one free hand unless you find a way to attach it to yourself while snorkeling. The handle was a little heavy as well but the closure it pretty secure so you don't have to worry about losing anything.

Maybe not the best for claming
This is a great bag to harvest clams, but a pain when trying to carry it while claming. I rather have the bags that attach to your belt for convenience

Better than I expected!
The handle is comfortable and I did not expect it to open up and make a large ring that could easily align with a bucket rim. I filled it 1/2 way with clams with I would estimate it as a 1/4 peck. It seems really strong, I would recommend it.

Awesome for Beach!
Perfect bag to collect shells with at the beach whether, on the shore or in the water. Well made, nice quality and love the handle. Would prefer some different colors, but really like it.
