This opener is very helpful in opening bottle caps with my arthritic hands.

Takes a bit of practice, but worth it

Handy gadget but it takes quite a bit of force to use it for twist-off caps.

With my arthritic hands was so happy to find a product like this that I went ahead & purchased 2. In the time that I have had the product I have yet to find a way to facilitate releasing the “grip” of the the twist off Gripper from the water bottle cap once the cap has been successfully removed from the bottle. In every instance I was left with the twist off cap stuck inside the opener and had to find a way to “bang” the bottle cap out of the opener - even to the point of hammering a flat head screwdriver on the cap in the hopes of releasing it from the “gripper.” Really got stung with this purchase...
