Perfect boat accessory.

What better way to enhance you experience on a boat? Bought this with the rod holder mount. Almost perfect, but there are a couple issues. #1 You can't tighten the L bracket bolt tight enough to stop it from tilting. Although it did stay in place, one small bump and your food is in the water/deck/you. Tried to tighten with a breaker bar and the stainless bolt sheared off. Ended up having to grind some teeth marks in the joint to give the brackets something to bite on. With that mod its now stable enough for me to grill on. I think this is a safety issue as it is. #2 The internal components are locked into place when grilling (which is great!), but not when using it as a stove. As a result, the pan holder slides all over the place. I modded it by drilling/driving stainless screws through them to keep it in place. If you are cooking with oil and you get a rough wave, better hope you have a burn unit nearby. Great concept, but the design needs some tweaking. After all, these are supposed to be designed for a marine environment!

Design could be better on grease trap, grease pours out when removing from mount

The on off know is difficult to read as far as high and low. The symbol on it means nothing in English. They might want to try High and Low. So the flame can be controlled better.

Husband is Happy

We lost our old Magma grill in a fire (unrelated to the grill) and were looking for a replacement. We measured the remains of our former grill, then tried to match features and size. Our new one arrived and is much smaller than our old one; but since the Captain had already installed it on our boat, we’re keeping it. The search feature on Amazon was difficult to use for this. We’d click on a grill that looked similar, but when we’d get to the correct page, the item had a different size or description than what we were expecting. Finally ordered Party Size because that’s what our last grill was called; cut what we thought were the grate’s dimensions turned out to be the over-all grill dimensions… so much smaller than we wanted.

Magma makes great products!

Always have. Had an issue with the igniter, but Magma sent a replacement immediately! One year leather and still working perfect!

Good but I am on my way 3rd. The best out there for its size.

Last about 3-4 years if used a lot. Rusts out. The grill runs hot and hard to control the heat. The new ones have better heat control. I would buy again, best out there even with its problems.

Terrible barbeque would not recommend it to anybody as tight as I can get that latch fastened to the boat. It still was never tight enough and Would Tip over the side.
