De Starfire Women's Hooded Rain Jacket is voorzien van Marmot's comfortabele en ademende Nanopro Membrain 3-laags waterdichtingstechnologie. Nanopro Membrain-coating bestaat uit dicht op elkaar gepakte poriën die klein genoeg zijn om te voorkomen dat waterdruppels binnendringen, maar groot genoeg om waterdamp naar buiten te laten - voor koel, droog comfort, zelfs als uw activiteitenniveau toeneemt. De Starfire heeft ook volledig getapete naden om lekken te voorkomen en een verstelbare capuchon met een vormbare rand om regendruppels weg te houden van je gezicht en ogen. Als de binnenwarmte zich begint op te bouwen, opent u gewoon de waterbestendige Pitzips - ventilatieopeningen met ritssluiting onder de armen - om de luchtstroom te vergroten. Expensive but very well made with lots of features. May need to size up

This is my second Marmot jacket but it fits differently than my first one. The size SMALL in this model was very tight under my armpits so I had to size up to a Medium. The Medium fits well in the arms but is a little large through the body and hips. Since I will be using this for hiking I find that it will work since I often need a rain shell over my other layers. It packs down small enough to put in a backpack and I appreciate the pit-zips as well as the zippered pockets and helmet compatible adjustable hood that really does keep the rain/snow off of your face.

Not worth the money even on sale

The jacket is a shell, but I have other shells that are much warmer. It is really loud too, when you are moving around. Noticed it right away when I first got it, thinking “oh, this is really going to block the elements since it sounds like I’m wearing a combo of plastic and aluminum foil” but no. I wore it with a base layer and a fleece pull over on a wet day in low 50’s in Texas and was still cold. I felt like the jacket made me colder. Pretty disappointed but too late to return it. So it will be a REALLY expensive rain jacket for the summer. I hope it works for that. I don’t recommend this product.

Good jacket only one problem

Good jacket totally wind proof but you still need something under it because the cold wind makes the jacket feel cold. The only problem is the zipper gets stuck in the lining every time. Its very annoying. But other than that is a great jacket.

Fits well and looks good and keeps you dry

, what more is there to say, wife loves her jacket. I took her to a trout fishing school the week after the jacket arrived and...yes it was raining and cold. The fit of the jacket kept her dry and the layers kept her warm. She really likes the color too. I have an older Marmot coat that is approaching 12 years old now and it still delivers. Great product, grrat company.

Jacket is too fitted

The jacket is beautiful, feels like it may truly be waterproof, but the style is too fitted to wear a third layer underneath for warmth. It fits nicely over a t-shirt or single layer, but it was too tight to add a fleece, vest or lightweight sweater. As a second layer only, the fit was fine. I returned the (med.) Starfire and ordered a (med.) Precip jacket which is a looser-fitting jacket.

Highly recommend

I bought two. Love this jacket. I love in Houston and this winter it has been in the 50s. It’s not so much the temp but the wind and humidity is horrible. This has been a lifesaver and the only jacket I’ve been wearing with a couple layers under it.

My favourite jacket!

This has become my favourite jacket. It’s comfortable, and especially with the underarm zips has a very wide temperature range. (Just above zero with long sleeve top and hoodie to just under 20 C with just a tank top on a windy/wet day.) The inside chest pocket fits masks (and for post-covid should fit spare headphones or a pack of gum). The pockets have plenty of room. I usually wear a medium or large, but ordered an XL to get a looser fit and so it’s easier to layer. I’m also tall and jackets sleeves are usually too short. This one fits well.
