Lightweight and the only glasses for true melon heads.

The glass is excellent, polarization phenomenal especially for fishing (inshore brown/green lenses, offshore blue lenses). The fit is very wide for average size faces/heads. But for us big heads you couldn’t order a lighter, sleeker, pair of sunglasses. The price is expensive but it’s Maui Jim and you won’t find better deals anywhere on earth because of price control. Still the material of the frame feels premium and flexible despite the light weight. 4/5 stars would buy again and have bought a black pair on top of the tortoise ones. Price is a negative, but the quality more than makes up for it.

Such a crisp view

So they allow a lot of light in and at first I was bummed but I now realize that it blocks the right type of light. My eyes don't squint or get irritated and I feel like I have eagle vision. The fit is good for my HUGE head. Size 8+ in hats. Still could use a tad.bigger but the best fit I have had in high end shades. The nose piece will take some time to get use to from wearing Double Eagle Oakleys for many years. I've broken a pair of Oakley every year lately due to the earpiece wearing down on one side of the balls that snap in. Such a lame flaw that is never covered. So time will tell if the extra $50 will be worth it

Perfect

This is my second pair of Maui Jim's. I had an eye surgery and wanted a little more protection and these were perfect. It's almost like wearing a pair of goggles. The blue mirror finish really brightens the world up. These glasses are distortion free and ridiculously light weight so much so I forget that I'm wearing them. These do not come with the traditional Maui Jim hard case, I tried fitting them in my old case and they're just too big so expect it to come with the new folding case.

Absolutely first rate product

I could not recommend Maui Jim more if they paid me (which they don’t). I bought my first pair of Maui Jim in 1995 and dropped them, breaking the frame, in 2018. That’s probably longer than I’ve owned any inanimate object. I sent them to the company to be repaired. After about a week, the company returned to me a pair that looked brand new, in a hard case, for a very reasonable price, a fraction of the original cost. So much for customer service. I bought a second pair, the one I am reviewing here, because I felt I needed a spare. These are a different style. Both pairs share comfort of fit and crisp clarity of the polarized optics. That’s all.

Great glasses!!! not so good frame

I have purchased moui jim glasses since I got my first check and there's no other brand I would buy for my sentive eyes. I always knew what I got for my money ???? with moui. However I was a bit disappointed with this latest purchase the frame felt flimsy not the best of material that Maui is know for they look like the brand I get at the beach for 10dollars. Even the case is collapsable cheap material not the hard have case I'm use too however the lenses at still amazing!! ????????????????????????

Bought these to replace a two yr old model that I lost at the beach

Same excellent lenses, but the frames are larger than the original model and curved to better stay on my head. Only negative is that the frames are slightly larger than what I anticipated. Still, I am happy with them.

The eyes have it!

I really like these sunglasses. I have been looking for a decent pair of bronze/brown lenses glasses for months. The problem is I have a big head (in more ways than one). It is harder than you think to find a nice pair of sunglasses when you’re looking for a wide fit. These fit perfectly and don’t leave grooves along my temples back to my ears. And they’re very good for bright light and driving which is what I needed.

Quality

I was disappointed. I have a World Cup model and they are a very good quality made in Italy. The Big Wave seem very light but poor quality like really thin inexpensive plastic made in Japan.

Lenses scratch very easily. They seem to be of a lower quality compared to the Maui Jims I bought 20 years ago.

great looking and amazing glasses

They are good looking, cut the glare completely and fit extremely well. For a sport enthusius spend a little money on a good pair of straps so you do not lose them.

Maui Jim are still the best

This was a gift for my husband for our 40th anniversary. We have been wearing Maui Jim for years as they are great for sailing and driving also great for skiing. This is the first time I have bought them online. They are very light weight but not exactly like the picture. The frames reminds me of safety glasses. The glass is light but I didn’t find them as good as my old ones. But the important thing is my hubby is fine with them. Not worth the $300. His old ones fell out of his shirt and he ran over them in the car otherwise he would still have the old ones. Will go buy him a new pair of Maui Jim’s at the store so I can see and feel what I am buying.

ehh Is this worth 300 dollars?

They are nice but not 300 dollars nice. Clear lenses but they look more purple than blue and the frame material seems really cheap. Lenses are clear - no doubt. But As big of a pain as it was to get an order in - I went back to Revo sunglasses - better overall IMO

Los encontré más baratos que en cualquier parte. Vale la pena cada centavo, cuando los compré estaban en 3500 y en otras plataformas casi 2000 pesos más. Súper livianos y para cara amplia, recomendado para cachetones
