Good Design - Strings are useless

The design concept is good. The stings that come with the unit are poor quality and break almost instantly. I was able to use a different brand string which worked out well.

Fantastic tool

I last purchased one of these precisely four years ago. It still works fine, but it's starting to little a little... weathered? Pitted? Beat-up? Regardless, four years is a steal! I'm ordering another today just in case it fails catastrophically. I can do my entire 7ksqft back yard with just three feet of line, including against wire fences and cinderblocks, and we have some HEAVY weeds. (Oregon line works much better than Husqvarna titanium) Before, the pivohead, it would take two to three reels of line. I run it primarily on the big Greenworks electric, their heaviest, and then switch off to the 2hp Husqvarna 535LS when I'm wading into the heavier stuff - it makes either one perform better. Overall, I couldn't be happier with it! One reel of string lasts now until it gets dry and brittle, where before I'd go through two reels a year. Highly recommended!

Easy to install

Easy to install. But for my replacement, the new string line path is slightly lower than the original path. That means the original debris shield does not offer the same protection as you might need. As long as you are aware, it will still work. I don't see it as an issue for my use, but I am usually a cautious person and work away from others. I am using up the last of my thinner string, so I expect breakage to be high. I am trying to cut weeds mostly using the tips of the strings and it does make fine weed cutting, but a bit slower. I hope to move to a thicker string in the near future. Breakage rate for the thinner string is about what I expected. Overall a good alternative to the bump and feed. But I have to wonder if I should have just moved to bump and feed replacement line spools. More expensive, but perhaps worth the time savings?

no winding

I hate winding string in that spool. This product works very well. quite a few changes of the string in a commercial setting on tough weeds but still easier than a spool. Perfect for around the house and property that you weed eat on a regular basis. Keep a spare if you are using commercially as they last about one season.

Doesn't fit, Hard to change lines

So I was super excited about this. I will be trying to contact supplier to see if maybe it's me. It doesn't fit my Stihl great and is just really sloppy amd loose. Getting my .095 lines in is not easy. It did not save any time whatsoever. Just overall disappointed.

Just the ticket for So Cal's post rain weed nightmare

It's great for thick weeds I was even able to take down mustard plants with it .works like a charm without loading or fixing a bumper heads line every time you turn around .and saves money on line it just used 3 8"to 9" pieces of 0.95 trimmer line looped through the pivots thus making 6 lines all together and makes short work of even the toughest weeds .reasonable price tag and good design and construction had it on my Stihl FS79r in 5 mins good purchase

Well worth the money and time saver

I hate the bump feed style heads. For one they seem to always break off the line so close to the head that the ends get lost inside the head. So you have to pile the cover off and refeed the lines through. Second, I’ve had it happen multiple time where the head gets hot enough that parts of the lines melt together and don’t feed so you have to break them apart. This is a very affordable way to fix that. My recommendation is to by a spool of line along with the new head. The new head comes with about six pieces of precut line. Take 15-30 min and cut a hundred or more pieces. When you go out to cut and edge grass, put a bunch in your pocket. It’s super fast to flip your trimmer over, put in the three pieces and get back to work. Highly recommend this product.

Very good quality and easy to install

I got this to replace one I got from Bunnings as this is a much better design. The Bunnings one was cheaper but the design allowed the cord holders to hit the ground and damage the small items. This one while being more expensive has a better design as the cord holders are about the base and they cannot be damaged as the Bunnings one was. Would definitely buy again.

Great item

I was about throwing my old trimmer in the garbage since the original head had just one string and it wasn't efficient from the day one. Then I decided to take a shot with this trimmer head replacement and it turned out as a perfect purchase: my trimmer works as a charm now, very efficient.

Wow!

We had the traditional wind up line that took forever to load and constantly broke. This is amazing! The install is simple and the line cut through thick weeds in our back field without breaking. A fence post is what finally broke a line or two - but I was reloaded with a fresh line in about 2 minutes. If you are using the old feed through and wind up style, this is a game changer.

Works Great!

I was concerned when I started to install it and it wasn’t installing. When I read the instructions and realized I was installing it wrong it was super easy to install. It works great and the strings last so much longer than the ones that came with the trimmer. Very pleased I purchased this.

Works as advertised

Super quick and easy to install. Works better than the OEM head probably because I'm cutting with 6 lines instead of 2. Had to adjust my trimming technique a bit but no big deal there. Change line in no time flat (I carry precut line pieces in my pocket) I need to trim up against some rough concrete so the line is naturally going to wear but not as quick as with the original equipment.
