Great durability

I like....

I was on the hunt for new suspenders. The ones I had before, the clips would break apart even before I start using them and they were new. I will not tell which company, but they will get a bad review later from me. But anyways, so I did some researching and came across these. I read all the reviews and the reviews were mixed. But I took a look at them from the images that were displayed. They are heavy duty, clips looks like they are sturdy and well made. So I decided what the heck why not go ahead and purchase them. Not only did I purchase one, I purchased 4. I get these suspenders. I immediately ripped the box open to get to one of them. At first, I was not happy. Well, because the adjustments where difficult. Plus, I am 5' 11" and weigh nearly 300lbs. I have a big belly. I had to keep adjusting them to almost to where they had no strap left. What caught me off guard about these suspenders. They don't stretch in the front. They stretch a little bit on the back straps. I started to wonder had I made the right decision. Well finally, I am able to adjust the straps to my liking. So far, I have been wearing the first suspender that I have open. But the one suspender does have a flaw, the right rear clip does not close or snap close like all the other clips on the suspender. So every time I bump or scrap against the clips, sure enough the clip would come undone or would loosen it grip. Easy solution would be to go to another suspender, but I like the way I have the first one and so comfortable and I don't want too. After wearing these suspenders, I am more satisfied with my purchases. These are very well made despite the one clip flaw, but even with that flaw. All clips latches on to the pants you are wearing with ease. They don't lose their grip. Compared to the other suspenders that I had prior to these. I give these suspenders A+, because they are so comfortable and I would recommend these to everyone who are big like myself. It just adjusting them to your liking may take some time, but once you have them fit just right. You'll be glad with them.

Mixed feelings. Useful design but not attractive

As I mentioned in the title, I have very mixed feelings about these suspenders. In some ways they are the best suspenders I've ever seen. They aren't what I'd call pretty, though. They have a super-strong, robust design. There is no way they would let go of your pants, even if a shark was pulling them off you or something. I really like that they are only stretchy in the back and I like the adjustment mechanism. I wouldn't wear them in any circumstance in which people might see them, though. Things I like ============================== * The clasps that attach to your pants are hard-core. Lots of suspenders have plastic parts in there that can break or they have teeth that can mar your pants. These are just big strong clips. Very secure. * I like that it attaches in two places in the back. That mitigates suspender-wedgie. * The straps between the leather connection and the back of your pants stretch, which is good when you sit. The other strap does not. That's very nice. Many suspenders are stretchy the whole way and as a result, they are a lot more susceptible to damage and they never fit right. Also these suspenders will not snap even if someone tries to snap you. The front strap is heavy-duty nylon. It reminds me of a seatbelt, but it's a heavier weave. * The color is profoundly black. It isn't going to fade. * The wideness of the straps distributes the weight of the pants across your shoulders and enhances comfort. * The tightening mechanism is similar to that of a seatbelt. It doesn't harm the fabric, it's secure, and it adjusts easily. So many suspenders have a little clip with teeth that bites into the strap and causes permanent damage if you adjust it a few times. Very refreshing to use these. Things I don't like ===================== * Both straps are too wide to be attractive on my frame. I'm 5'8" and medium build. If I were 6'3" lumberjack with a generous belly, these would maybe look good (over work clothes). Though I would tend to get brown suspenders in that case. * The little metal adjustment things work real well, but they are quite large and draw too much attention. Maybe if they were black it would better. They don't have a lot of style. * The weave of the front straps is quite rough. I would have preferred seatbelt material for sure. Anyway, these are great suspenders in some sense. Interesting design elements. Ultimately, I wanted to use them to hold up my suit pants, though, and they aren't really formal or attractive enough to be optimal for that purpose. At the same time, I really like how well they work and how long I expect them to last. As long as I keep my suit coat on they are great. I wouldn't take it off in front of people whose opinions matter, though. I'm not sure exactly who these were marketed to. They really don't seem formal to me, but they don't seem the right color for work clothes. I think this company could use some of those design elements to make two different kinds of suspenders (formal and work) that would both be better than this. I'm not returning these, though. I like them well enough to keep using.

Excellent product from a trustworthy company! Reasonable price for the working man!

My husband is a big guy and he needs wide straps and plenty of length to them. He is a welder and climbs up and down off his tractor many times a day. He had me buy suspenders by the same company as his old ones, and they are perfect! Very sturdy and comfortable. The clamps stay on, too!

DROOPY DRAWERS? HERE'S THE SOLUTION

Several years ago I developed severe diverticulitis. Had to have surgeries. Last being a stoma reversal (Thank God) The mesh didn't do it's job and after 3 surgeries, I had a lump permanently. For years I would wear a belt and it always cause my belt and pants to slip and fall. Did not matter how tight I wore my belt, the scar and lump would be in the way. I could never keep my pants from falling if I had things in my pockets my pants could drop top my knees.And I had to be quick! Doing my work, constantly pulling up my pants. DROOPY DRAWERS. It made doing anything involving 2 hands a chore, because I had one hand on my pants.. Not sure where I got the idea but decided to try suspenders. It worked, it was great not having to worry about pants falling. These are a lifesaver, I mean it gave me a better quality of doing my job and being able to use both of my God given hands. These suspenders are terrific. I wear them everyday. I've purchased 3 pair and these McGuire-Nicholas are superb quality. Still hold tight, no rips or tears or any defects and the teeth still have a firm grip, after 6 years of use. . They hold and I can go about my day with confidence. If I ever need to purchase suspenders it will most certainly be the McGuir-Nicholas brand .

Tamaño reducido

La calidad deja mucho qué desear, los acabados y los materiales son de lo más bajo. El tamaño está muy reducido, tal vez lo pueda usar una persona muy bajita o un niño. Un adulto de medidas promedio no le cierran. Deberían poner eso en la publicación. Y repito los materiales se ven malísimos, es de algún tipo de plástico rígido, se ven súper chafas.

Exelentes tirantes de buena calidad sobre todo los broches

Me gusto porque yo lo uso een mi trabajo y para mi es comodo y de buena calidad y de buen material sobre todo los broches atoran bien con el cinto de cuero que uso porque traigo herramienta pesada y estos tirantes me ayudan con el peso de de las herramientas lo recomiendo exelente sobre todo si usan buen peso en la cintura ....

Son unos tirantes muy anchos, diría que el doble de unos convencionales, si no les molesta esto son unos tirantes de muy buena calidad, se ve que durar muchos años. No estiran demasiado solo un poco, los recomiendo ya que al principio pensé en devolverlos pero al ponerlos no quedan mal así que me los quede. Saludos

Son de uso rudo, excelente calidad, pero el largo es reducido.

son ultra resistentes, no son de vestir, por su resistencia y textura los utilizaría para sostener pantalones para la pesca en pantano o camping. Lo unico es que el largo de los tirantes son reducidos y por esta razón los regresé. Sus pinzas super resistentes. Calidad excelente, pero reitero que no son de vestir.
