Works and looks great. Makes the shower more useful/

Works and fits great, but there is no round cover for the wall. I had to go to the store and buy the round cover. That sucked.

Very snug fit

When installing this be sure to have a strap wrench to tighten the final turn. I was unable to finish the last turn by hand. I imagine this is a good good thing as it is extra secure, will find out as it gets used.

An Evil Ploy for Moen to Make Money...

I'm sure, like most of you, I purchased this item because the 6 inch version that is included with the original showerhead trim is dinky and hardly extends from the wall... it leaves you thinking "Why would Moen even do that to me?" And I'm convinced this 8 inch version exists for this exact reason. Moen: Wah-ha-ha! Now they'll have to spend an additional $30 on one of our products! >:-) But after installing the 8 inch version, and though it looked a little better, we felt it didn't tilt down as well and ended up returning the 8 inch and sticking with the included 6-incher. So does this product do what it is supposed to, of course. But it's hardly worth $30. So it's truly up to you whether you think it's worth it or not. We did not and returned it to get our money back (Take that, Moen!)

Looks just as expected.

Looks great and works well but very pricey for what it is.

solid, brushed nickel, 8"

This is the best price I could find for an 8" brushed nickel shower arm. We paired it with a Kohler shower head, and Kohler flange. The Moen brushed nickel is slightly lighter, but the undertones are the same, so it looks okay. I think it would have felt more "off" if the flange and shower arm had both been Moen, and only the shower head had been Kohler, but I think even that wouldn't look too obvious as a mixing of finishes.
