Gave this as a gift for a 12-year-old who really enjoys playing the game with the Avengers involved.

Great game just became better!!!

One of the greatest family games becomes better but has some things that I can't overlook. Great things: 1. Game play has slightly changed with the addition of battles that will throw a loop in the entire gameplay. 2. Figures are hard die cast metal (or similar) and not the paper guys like other game sets. 3. The board is full of color and characters from the marvel universe. Bad things: 1. As a marvel fan, I don't understand why they would leave out bigger playable characters like Black Panther and sub in Nebula. 2. Additionally, playable characters lack notable women figures like Wasp. 3. A big missing game piece that would have been cool was Thanos. Only game piece close was a small gauntlet. 4. Although the game pieces are very cool, heavy and colored well, they are small and on some pieces you can't really tell who it is from farther away until you put it up to your eye like Ironman or captain marvel. 5. The game set hero holder is very cheap plastic. It is a nightmare pulling out peices because the plastic is basically molded around them. You spend a half hour trying not to tear the cheap plastic so you can display them again when you are finished. They should have just left space to protect but allow users to pull then out without damaging the cheap plastic. 6. Another bad thing is no money/card holder. Its basically thrown in there. When you first open the box it is pretty cool as displayed but not functional once it's all ready to go back in the box.

Fun twist on Monopoly

If you like Monopoly and you like the Avengers, this is a great twist on the game! Played it the same day and had fun!

Board and pieces are practically collectors worthy! Would not recommend throwing the board or pieces if your family game night gets hostile????. It is a very nice set and our family loves the board lay out

Great for Marvel enthusiasts

Bought this as a gift for a Marvel obsessed friend. It is expensive but we purchased as a group. It works exactly like normal monopoly but just with an Avengers theme. One star docked because it’s expensive and I lost.

Better than the original?

Must for any Avengers fan. As a monopoly fan myself I was dubious about yet another version, but my daughter is mad on the Avengers so it was a good Christmas choice. The basics of the game are the same, but the twists make it far more a game of chance rather than all strategy. For example, stations are replaced with battles - you roll the dice to beat the villan and only pay a penalty if you lose. The alternative "Community Chest" and "Chance" cards involve a mix of traditional fees and bonuses, with 2 new options. One is where all players are penalised and another is rolling a dice to determine if you gain or lose money. You don't need to be an Avengers fan to play, but it will thrill anyone who is.
