Great customer return service!

Loved the convenience. Made both post of coffee and the K-cups with complete satisfaction. Then, the lower needle became dislodged from the brew basket. Packed it up, took it to UPS, and 3 days later had a replacement coffee maker. Can't say enough about how pleased I was with the quick turn-around. Now, let's hope the second coffee maker lasts longer than the first.

I like the versatility of choice between K-Cup, single ground brewing and the 10 cup mode. The single cup brewer is kind of mess to clean but it works I can wake up to fresh coffee.

Read ALL including troubleshooting

A real headache to get set up but really aren't all makers the same in that regard? Went through all the gyrations, all the while waiting to have a cup of fresh brewed coffee. After brewing a pod just to get some coffee in me, wanted to brew a carafe as I'm an all day coffee drinker. Couldn't get it to display cups, only ounces. Even though I'm an old lady, I sometimes have that "I don't need no instructions male attitude" especially about things that seem simple. However, in the troubleshooting section, found why I couldn't get it to display cups...gotta remove the pod guts. Did that.....success. That does make it somewhat a pain in the butt but guess I'll get used to it. On another subject..... I may have found the problem with reservoir leakage, though I didn't have that problem with the one cup I brewed! The seal where the reservoir projection goes into was folded over when I removed the plug. Don't know if that is the reason many customers were experiencing leaking but it's worth a look to make sure all or part of the white rubber seal isn't folded over. Good luck for those having this problem. Hoping this machine will fill the bill for a smaller footprint on my counter as well as multiple brew options. . Am retiring a $200 Cuisinart machine that works just fine but it kind of a space hog. Update 7/11/22: Changed to 4 stars. Wrote original review before checking troubleshooting as to why I coiuldn't schedule a full pot but forgot to change stars after revising text.

Single Worst Coffee Maker I've Ever Owned (tried twice)

I bought this for two reasons: 1. It has a thermal carafe which I'm familiar with which does an amazing job of keeping the coffee hot without having the hot plate; we had this carafe on another Mr. Coffee model in the past. 2. It did dual-duty as a standard drip brewing system and K-cup brewer and the *idea* of that versatility is useful. The reviews were hit and miss; mostly miss and I should have heeded that. * It's a pain to set up and get working * It consistently stops brewing whenever it wants and in the morning all I want is for it to have brewed it's full carafe. Having only half a mug worth of coffee after it's been sitting on the counter doing a velociraptor impersonation at 0500 isn't conducive to a good day * We gave this thing two chances. We ordered one which came to us, obviously as a return, without any paperwork or original packaging (which has nothing to do with the machine itself, but does speak to the vendor). I immediately ordered another one; if I paid for a new one, I was not going to get a used one. * The second one didn't want to work, and took multiple attempts to get to operate correctly. Since we hadn't yet returned the other one we figured we'd see if it was just one machine or the other. They both failed in similar ways and in their own special unique ways. The electronics are unreliable; to be more specific the sensors that trigger the shutoff are unreliable, and this leads it to believe it is either out of water or that it has passed enough fluid through the system to have completed its brew. What you wind up with is a very noisy machine that brews half a mug when you expect to have a full carafe. What it does brew is good, but I don't want to stand there pushing the brew button 15 times (this is literally what it took to brew its final pot in my house). The design is great, and when it makes coffee, it brews a nice cup. It just isn't reliable and the electronics engineering was poor at best. Skip this model.

My daily coffee maker- *almost* perfect.

Full disclosure, this is my first time buying a “fancy” coffee maker. I’ve always been a fan of the Mr coffee brand because it always seemed reliable and well made compared to other brands. I primarily bought this because I wanted a coffee maker that was space saving but I also wanted a K cup function so I can on occasion have a single cup of coffee. The thermal thing is awesome. Don’t worry about not having a burner, this thing is plenty capable of keeping your coffee warm without giving it a burnt taste. Since there is no burner, the thermal thing keeps my coffee warm. I have it brew at 550am and sometimes don’t get around to having a sip till 7am. One thing I noticed is compared to my cheap mr coffee maker, the coffee in this is higher end model is hotter and tastes fresher. I’ve definitely have noticed a more crisp taste. So why 4 stars and not 5? Because the K cup thing can be a bit messy. It’s definitely not as well refined as a Keurig in terms of an even drip out, the taste is fine, but you’ll notice the coffee doesn’t come out in a straight line like it does in a keurig machine. You can overcome this fault by using a travel mug and a taller coffee cup. If you use a small standard size coffee cup, there will be a tiny amount of splatter on your counter. Not a big deal, but something to note. The other fault, is when it beeps it’s done in the k cup thing, the coffee continues to drip which does not happen at the Keurig machine I use at work. So although the k cup function falls a bit short, if you primarily brew a pot of coffee like I do it won’t be a big deal. I’ve had this for 6 months at the time of writing this and it still works great.

Adequate

The configuration of single serve & a thermos carafe is really nice. However, the consistency of amount of coffee produced isn't very good. Sometimes 12 oz. Is 12 oz.... Sometimes it's more like 6 or 8. Not always a problem.,. Kinda like playing the lottery - do I get all my caffeine today, win, or not?
