Adorable Toy, but Difficult for Baby to Use
This toy is adorable and very well made. I'm always looking for well made wooden toys for my baby because she seems to like to teethe on a wooden texture. The silicone part of this toy is firm and quality-made. I also like that part of the proceeds go to support koalas and other animals through the International Fund for Animal Welfare. However, my baby (an average 4.5 month old) has a difficult time holding and using this teether. The main silicone ring is fairly thick and the two wooden rings are also thick and take up most of the space inside the ring. (See photo). Due to her small hands, she can't grab the koala part yet which is even thicker. The item is listed for 3+ months, but my girl is still too little for it at 4.5 months. It's a really nice quality product, so I'm going to hang onto it and keep trying to introduce it to her. I hope that as she grows she will be able to hold it, because I know she'd enjoy teething on the wood rings and sturdy silicone!

A Good Teether with One Exception
This is a nice teether, the ring and koala are solid but pleasingly chewable. The one caution is the two wooden rings, they are solid and quite stout, so if your child tends to swing things around be cautious or it will cause some bruises. Our 1 year old is in the wonton swinging phase and we have to be very careful when they use this so they don't end up hitting themselves in the head with it. Other than that, it's a fantastic teether!

Too Big for Tiny Hands
The packaging says it’s for 3+ months but my son is already 4 months old and is on the larger side of all the pediatric measurements, yet this toy was too big for my son. I hope he grows into it. It really is too big for his hands and mouth right now though. At 4 months, the bottom 2 front teeth have come in and the top ones are starting to show. The rattle toy is neat. Overall though - too big for an early teether.

Simple is best
I just love the simple design of this teether that doubles as a rattle. When my now 5-year-old son was teething, he absolutely loved any and all silicone teething toys. He preferred them over the fancy giraffe one that was all the rage. He also loved gnawing on a wooden disk necklace I had made for him. The smooth and natural wood was safe for his gums and provided a hard texture for when he was really bothered by his incoming teeth, and when the silicone didn’t cut it. This teether combines the best of both—soft, yet firm silicone, and hard wooden rings. I like that the silicone koala has different textures in the details. It may not seem like it, but those little bumps and nubs apparently are very soothing to irritated gums. I also love that this doubles as a cute little rattle. The wooden rings make an organic and soft sound that stimulates baby’s ears without annoying sleep-deprived parents. Little fingers will enjoy grasping and moving the little rings around. Now, you may be wondering if this little teething ring is worth the current listing price of $12, and I would say a resounding YES. Simple toys made of safe and natural materials is always the best way to go. There are so many chemicals that your baby will be in contact with throughout their life. If you can minimize their exposure to those chemicals at the most sensitive and vulnerable stage of their life, then it is absolutely worth it. I cannot wait for our little girl to arrive so she can begin using this teething ring.

Small Teether/Rattle
Quick car seat or pack n play Teether/ Rattle. It is small and the wooden rings are smooth and finished so they won't splinter. The koala provides the texture for teething and it is a soft rubber material so it is easy to clean. Munchkin makes great products and this is definitely one of them!

Entertaining!
A great teether! A durable plastic with bright colors and wooden rings that clang together! The only downfall is I can't toss this is in the dishwasher like I do with some of our other teethers- the packaging even advises against submerging in water at all.

What's not to like?
This Munchkin Koala Wooden Teether Toy is a solid piece of equipment for the 5-8 month old who is biting everything. It's got moving parts, and gumming parts. Sound, sight, and movement... what's not to like?
