Perfect
They fit perfectly and look great for swim wear clothing.

Look nice--vibrant colors
These shorts look nice and fit well. The drawstring works smoothly. The material is okay. It may over time start to look worn as it already has some softness to it vs the usual sheen of swim wear. That said it is soft and the colors are vibrant. These will do well for the Seabase High Adventure trip coming up.

Fits as expected for a 7 year old boy
My 7-year old son is at that stage where he's usually a small but sometimes a medium. The 7-year old swim trunks fit him very well and he's very pleased with the colors: red and blue are his favorite colors and the colors are very vibrant. The material is of good quality and no complaints about stitching - this is to be expected from a brand like Nautica, but I wanted to state that anyway. Really pleased with these trunks and would recommend for anyone looking for trunks for their boys.

Slightly large, but cool look
These run slightly large. Ordered a size 8, but won't fit my 9 year old this year. But will have them for next year, as they still look very sleek.

Nice shorts, run a little big
Got these for my 15 year old son, the shorts are a L (14-16). They’re a bit big on him but he’s a skinny kid, tightening them up helps but still a bit loose. He’ll have to grow into them, maybe next year. Nice quality and he likes the pockets.

Good Quality Swim Trunks, Not Designed for Competitions
The Nautica Boys' Competition Swim Trunk is a comfortable pair of trunks to wear for a day at the beach or the pool. The trunks are lined, can be adjusted at the waist thanks to an inner drawstring at the waist, and seem to run true to size. The material is bright and of good weight, and the son hasn't noticed any fading. While these trunks are called "competition swim trunks", they are definitely not designed to be used in any real competitions because of the looseness of the fabric and the drag it causes. However, he doesn't mind wearing these for off-day practice as the additional drag helps him train a little harder....either that or it's a mental thing when he switches back to his jammers. Overall, if you like the design of these trunks, they are well-made and definitely worth considering.
