Poorly stitched, questionable fabric, and too heavy to fly correctly

(I hope I don’t end up sounding like Sheldon on Big Bang Theory when I write this, but let’s have some fun with this flag). The overall quality of the stitching is terrible. A single row of clear thread was all that held together this flag. A normal flag has four rows of stitching on the fly and a double row of stitching along the other edges. Considering this is an officially licensed product, it should be better crafted. Additionally, despite the flag being sold as Nylon, the tag sewn into the flags says 100% polyester, a much cheaper and far less weather resistant fabric. Furthermore, good quality flags typically have a canvas heading, but this one is made of the same fabric as the flag. The grommets are not brass, but some thin metal. With all of that said, the flag still manages to be too heavy to fly correctly due to the double sided backing sewn in for the Double T and the words “Red Raiders.” It’s a beautiful flag, but unless you plan to get out your sewing machine to reinforce it… and then wait for a Gail force wind that can fly it… you may look for something different.
