Quality of Stax has gone way downhill
I have a set of four of these in burgundy that I bought at the Container Store many, many years ago. That old set was starting to look a bit worn, so I decided to treat myself to a new set in this gray color. Wow--the quality of the new ones is *nothing* like that of the old ones. The lids are super thin and flimsy. The velvet trays are warped and do not sit properly in the plastic shells. The velvet flocking is super thin and is not applied evenly to the trays. It didn't help that Amazon shipped these items loose in a mailing envelope--not even a padded mailing envelope, just a very thin plastic envelope--so the items arrived dented and scratched. I'm returning these and sticking with my old set, which is of better quality and is in better condition even after probably a couple of decades of use.

These will do, but not the right size and the insert is cheap.
These trays are not 8 x 9 x 1.5 inches. I needed it to be exactly 8 inches to fit two side by side. They are 8 3/8 x 9 2/8. Not much I know, but I didn't have any room to spare. I bought eight of these with different configurations. I almost sent them back, but I can't find anything closer for the size I need. Shelf size is 9.25 x 16 at the very most. So I guess I will keep them and just put one on each shelf - so I have to add shelves which is a royal pain. Two on each would have been nicer. The plastic outside shell is very nice. The insert is a nice gray color. However, the insert is made of cheap plastic that is spray covered in felty stuff. The strength of the tray is about like that of the plastic insert in a box of chocolates - just with a gray felty film sprayed on it. If you mash it, it will either break or crimp and you will never get it to look nice again. Since I will be careful and gently place jewelry on them, I guess I will keep them. It shouldn't be this hard to find well made, well priced jewelry trays in a good size. But this whole experience was a pain and a lot of work. Only to be disappointed by the end product. :-(

Chipped product....very light weight
The edge of the plastic container in which the jewelry box is housed came chipped. The shipping box was not damaged. For the price, I expected better quality.

Great for jewelry
These organizers are the best for storing earrings. I have several in a drawer, they stack nicely and keep everything organized and clean. If you measure the dimensions of your drawer space you can mix sizes to store jewelry very effectively in a minimum amount of space.

Easy to keep your jewelry organized. The flocking holds up very well. I've been using mine in my night stand for a few months now. I love that I can easily glance at it and know everything is in its place.

Great organizer for earrings and fits nicely into a tall chest of narrow drawers that I have in the bedroom. It's pricey for what it is, but I find that acrylic organizers are expensive no matter what!

I like larger earrings so I found the compartments a little small. Inserted perfectly in jewelry box drawer.
