Very thick, which makes it harder to put on.

Got this on a recommendation from my doctor. It seems to work well, but it is so thick that I have white face after putting it on. I am not sure if that is normal or I am putting it on too thick. I end up using a towel to remove the excess, which seems like a waste.

No skin irritation for me

After many years of successfully using "regular" sunscreens, they began to irritate my skin. My dermatologist recommended trying this product. I don't care for the feel of it on my skin, but have gotten used to it. The irritation problem has been solved, so I am a happy camper, overall. If irritation is a problem, give this a try.

Skin protection

Love that it disappears on the skin, and other products go on easily over this product. I recommend this sunscreen.

It Dries WHITE!

It seems to protect adequately. My main points of this review are two things: 1. It is very watery, comes out fast and low viscosity. You are likely to get a lot more than you need each time you squeeze the tube. Matter of fact, just taking the cap off and without squeezing, the sunscreen comes out pretty quickly with just gravity behind it. 2. This stuff being zinc oxide, is very white. It goes on very white and dries very white. I wear it heavily everyday as I am a construction worker and have heavy sun exposure all day. A few guys made jokes about my "clown face" but that's fine as long as I don't get skin cancer. But for those of you self conscious about how you look with sunblock on, take note: this sunblock even after rubbing in and letting dry, it will still be white. Ultimately I bought this stuff since it's a more "natural" product (no hormone disrupters) and is high SPF (seems zinc oxide and titanium dioxide only go to SPF50). So I'm still happy with the performance. Just warning others it will turn you white like a clown face paint.

Works great

This did exactly what I needed it to do, protect an area on my face from sun exposure. The problem was that it was also visible since I had to keep it thick over the area. I did not try to blend it in, I needed to make sure that it covered the area but I walked around with a white spot on my face. The protection was priority over vanity. It may be equally effective blending it in, but I couldn't risk it.

Definitely not as white but…

Not truly sheer but definitely Not as white as the regular zinc. It just needs to be rubbed on for a thin layer.

Dermatologist recommended for Hawaii Sun: Name on package should be "White Face"

It is not pretty but it stops the sun. Used in Hawaiian sun daily and recommend. I sail, play tennis, run, and swim in the ocean around Hawaii. You will need to reapply after 3- 4 hours but will not need as much as first coat. If you are worried about sun cancer this is THE lotion to get. Note there are many others but this is the best. White face, yes live with it. It is much better than having chunk of skin removed in expensive surgery. The sun is not something to mess with. Yes, at 18 it's show and tell. But at 40....

The Zinc Oxide makes my skin looks fairer and radiant. No more sunburn!!

It works very well with Asian Chinese skin. After applied, my skin looks fairer than my original skin tone. This is my second purchase of the Zinc Oxide sunscreen. I have applied on my face, and stay waterproof even after jogging 5 km. This is the safest sunscreen product, as compare the the chemical type, which I had stopped using. Very happy with it, and this is my second purchase of 6 tubes. And will buy again , once my inventory runs low. Hope Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Oxide Dry-Touch will keep the price low in the mist of higher inflation period.
