Good quality straps

I bought one set of these for our paddle boards and loved them. But two more sets for the kayaks. The only downside is the ends will start to fray eventually. A quick heating with a lighter will seal them back up. When I resealed mine, I cut the end into a V shape first to make them easier to thread in.

Another great product from Nite Ize

Bought these for strapping my kayak to cross bars or J-hooks on top of my van. They work great. As will all ratchet or cam straps, you do have to pay attention to how the webbing feeds through the mechanism, so it holds properly. The rubber padding on the back of the metal cam does a good job protecting surfaces it rests against.

Frays easily making them useless

I purchased these straps to hold furniture drawers closed and to keep boards together in transit. I really liked that these were not ratcheting straps and there were rubber pads to sit between the latch and wood surface. I only used these straps one time each to make them useless. The first strap was used to hold a dresser's drawers closed while being moved in the bed of my truck. The dresser was tied in place with ropes, but the strap frayed about 9-10 inches. I cut the bad section off, and melted the cut end with a lighter. That was great except it made the tip too thick to fit in the latch. I used the second strap to hold boards together on a trailer. I drove the trailer two miles, and when I stopped the strap had frayed nearly 18 inches. It had not dragged on the ground as I had tied it around the wood, but a couple of feet were able to blow in the wind. Some of this could be blamed on user error, but in all honesty two straps, one use each with a major failure does not inspire me to buy these again, or even want them replaced for fear the issue will happen again. This is the worst Nite Ize product I have purchased, and I have several. I have never had a failure of any of their other products when used, so this was an unexpected issue.

Not what I was expecting !

These things are not very useful. I’m use to ratchet straps and will be sticking to them. Once in a while I may have something I can use these on. It would help if they had hooks on the end. Not worth the money. I almost returned them !

BE CAREFUL BUYING 2 PACKS & STOCKING UP NITE IZE

NITE IZE said that they may be having issues with the 2 packs, but not the single packaging. Great product and customer service, replacing defective straps, definitely stands behind their products, but be careful what you buy. FYI...Nite Ize should call their worry free guarantee, a limited 2 year warranty, because it's definitely NOT WORRY FREE. I've purchased over a thousand dollars on their products, some don't get used right away, and if you don't put them to use within 2 years, have proof of where you purchased it, send the product back,(at your expense), or send a photo, Nite Ize will tell you to take a hike! DO NOT OVERBUY NITE IZE PRODUCTS
