Horrific Fail

I was really looking forward to receiving and wearing this dress. It was a horrific fail for me. First, the zipper did not lay flat at all. It runs mid back to top of the turtleneck. It left a huge bulge that I could not flatten no matter what I tried. The dress was tight and very unflattering on a body with curves. I am a 5'9", size 14, and bra size 36H or 38G. I purchased the XL black dress. Honest to God, it was by far, the worst look - imagine looking in a fun house mirror. I received yesterday evening and returning this morning. It may work best with someone with less curves or athletic, or straight up and down/slender. Good luck.

Another Fabulous Dress!!!

This dress is a classic which could be worn anywhere for an elegant look! For reference, I'm 5'4" and weigh 125. The small fits great! I usually buy S or XS in Norma Kamali dresses and this dress I bought S. I have so many of theses dresses because they are so easy to wear. I did read one reviewer said the zipper went down to the mid back but not the case. It's higher on the back towards the neck and lays flat! Gorgeous!!!

Fits really small

This is a body-conscious style, and smelled funny upon delivery. Returning, and not sure if I'm getting a larger size to replace... maybe if it's on sale.

Woeful Disappointment

The product looked absolutely NOTHING like the presentation on the website. I’m convinced that the vendor attempted to pass along a defective item in the hopes that I wouldn’t notice. I’ve already returned the item.

Classy, elegant, form-fitting

I have to disagree with the reviews saying this dress doesn't look like the photos. I actually think it looks identical to the photos. It exceeded my expectations, even. It is very form fitting and shows every outline on your body (I could even see the definition of my abs from certain lighting angles). However, it doesn't feel tight. The fabric is quite stretchy, not heavyweight but doesn't feel cheap either. It hugs in all the right places. No gapping at the back, the sides of the waist or under the arms. It moves very well with the body and you can definitely walk easily in it despite the smaller leg opening due to the fishtail style. My two issues with this dress: - For some reason it has this piping detail throughout. It's not necessarily a piping so much as it seems to be seams that run across the dress I think in an effort to accentuate features (think the seams on high quality leggings around the booty area and how they highlight the bum). Unfortunately since the dress is black, the seams are rather flat but not flat enough, and the location of the seams, some of them end up looking like panty lines. - The neck feels a little snug. I'm from a hotter area where winters don't really drop below 60F during the day so perhaps I'm just not used to turtlenecks, but it did feel just the bit constricting. I'm a rather skinny girl too, so I can imagine anyone with even a slightly thicker neck might feel like their airway is being cut off completely. - Not necessarily a con, but this dress fell a little longer on me than the model. I think where it lands is still flattering, but if you're shorter than 5'4", you might find it too long and awkward. Otherwise this dress is classy and elegant but still sexy. I feel like a rich CEO or a Bond character in it. I would definitely recommend if you are confident about your body and don't mind your hip dips on display.

Cocktailkleid Fishtail Dress

Der Schnitt ist toll. Der Stoff hat eine sehr gute Qualität. Einziger Wermutstropfen war die Verarbeitung der Nähte. Da ich dieses Modell unbedingt haben wollte, habe ich alle Nähte nachgearbeitet. Und bei einem solch aufwendigen Schnitt waren es recht viele. Dies ist aber nicht typisch für Garderobe von Norma Kamali. Meine bisherigen Käufe davon waren einwandfrei.
