Installed easily, but HARD to turn off!

Switch installed easily enough, but switch shaft was very loose in housing (like a bushing or something inside was left out?), plus rotary switch was extremely hard to turn off if I wanted to abort timer function (was afraid to turn too hard lest I break something inside)...

substitute use

timer was used as a substitute for a 3 way switch saving the work of replacing a 2 wire circuit with a 3 wire run

Lower quality than expected

I bought this switch to replace the exact same Tork model produced 1/1990 that had recently failed. Well quality sure dropped in 26 years! The switch arrived with only 3 screws of which 2 were attached and 1 was placed sideways in the switch, never found the 4th missing screw. The switch is now primarily all plastic with very minimal steel or brass, feels very flimsy and flexible, simply stated this switch does not inspire confidence for a long useful life. Lastly the holes for the attachment of the switch plate were not drilled on the face of the switch to permit screws to be used to attach the switch plate. The plastic (steel on the old switch) on the front of the switch was dimpled where the holes should have been but screws will not drive into dimples! Do they really expect the installer to drill into the front of the switch? Really? I nonetheless installed the switch but will seek another manufacturer when this switch fails. UPDATE: It has been 3 years since I wrote this review, the switch has performed flawlessly from day 1, looks evidently can be misleading.
