Product good, description not

The nozzle of the brush has a hole where a button on the vacuum tube is supposed to snap into it, thus securing the brush to the tube. My central vac tube does not have a button which will snap into it. Needless to say, the brush (which is wider than my central vacuum tube) keeps coming off. I put some thick two sided tape inside the nozzle, and the tube grips tighter that way, but will probably have to be fiddled with every so often. Not my mistake, as the product description does not mention this. But as to the piece itself it does a great job, especially with the wheels -- just make sure it will fit your vacuum.

Must have accessory

This is the best attachment I have so far for my central vacuum. It is a must have for wood floors and even tile. I use this for sweeping up the debris before mopping with a cleaner. It's also good for every day use on all my hard surface floors. It really is a must have accessory. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that sometimes I have to go over spots several times for it to pick up the debris and I wish it has a few more bristles to loosen the debris for easier cleaning. I would still recommend the product as I haven't found anything better.

NuTone product

I saw that at least one reviewer said this wasn't a NuTone product. My tool came in a NuTone box and has a NuTone label embossed on the tool itself. I know that doesn't necessarily ensure that it is 100% a NuTone product, but it looks like it is. It seems to be well-made and attaches onto my NuTone wand (via button on the wand) perfectly. I LOVE having the extra width to help vacuum my hardwood floors!

Received NuTone tool as expected

The hardwood floor tool I received was the original manufacturer's (NuTone's) item and works just fine. In fact, it is actually better than the one that I had which came with the NuTone central vac because this one locks into place. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it could have been less expensive.

The width speeds up the vacuuming!

Very good on tile and wood floors. The width makes vacuuming floors a lot faster.

Great hard floor tool

This tool is much better than my original Nutone hard floor tool. I use it on my hardwood floor and my ceramic tile floors and it glides with ease. The original wand is a little small for this tool, but I just put some duck tape around the connector and it works great -- or you can buy the wand that will fit the tool. My carpet tool has its own wand.

Ok, not a great attachment part as its missing the piece that snaps or holds it to the pole

It works in the sense that it keeps hard floors from scratching. However, it isn't as good of an attachment part as the original end piece that came with the nuTone as it doesn't attach as well. Missing the button that snaps it to the pole.

This attachment is not good for hardwood floors

This attachment is not good for hardwood floors, because hair, dust, & fuzz gets caught up in the brush and prevents other dirt from being sucked into vacuum. Also, less suction since it is wider so a lot of 'bigger dirt is not vacuumed. The smaller piece has no brush and picks up most things.

Extra wide is great

Hard to find a wide 14” but this one is great.

fits most brands

had a 14inch one awhile ago, but left it with the house when sold, glad i finally found this one, as they are hard to come by. worked fine with my standard central vac. makes a difference and speeds up vacuuming for sure.

Save your money

Not worth the money. Wheels scratch the floor and get hair wound up in them and pain to remove.
