Nice light for the price.

Overall the Nuvo Ballerina 7 light is a good deal. At 48" and having a beautiful bronze finish, it is a nice addition to my bathroom. Installation was not difficult and it is light enough so one person can do it (altough 2 makes i much easier). There are 2 issues I have with this product. First off is that it is not the most sturdily built item I have purchased. I guess to keep the cost down, Nuvo opted to construct the light out of thin material. It is not super fragile, but is definitely something I expected to be a bit more solid. If you grabbed the light by each end, you could easily twist it in half. The other issue I have is the mounting. There are 4 screws that secure the light to the wall. They are not enough. When completely installed, the weight of the 7 glass light globes and light bulbs pulls the light downward so it actually does not sit flush against the wall.. This is fixable as the metal is thin enough to easily drill through so you can attach a couple of screws to firmly secure it to the wall, but this is an obvious design flaw that needs to be taken care of. It is not a deal breaker, but it speaks volumes about Nuvo's quality control (or lack thereof). So overall, I do recommend this light. It is attractive, affordable, and with the 7 bulbs, gives off plenty of light. Just don't expect high quality materials.

Just one problem

This is a replacement for an identical Satco fixture I put up many years ago. It looks just like the old one. The only problem is the old backing plate had four screw attachment to the wall and the new one has just two. The new one separates from the wall a bit at the top due to the weight of the glass. Not a big deal but the old design is better. No sag! Why do they have to constantly change things when what they have works?

Not well made

I needed a light fixture that covered approx the same foot print of my previous outdated one, and this did fit the bill on that part. Look wise I am happy with it, but it is was not made well at all. The way it installs is there is a mounting metal piece that you screw into the wall. On that mounting piece are two bolts that are already hard set in that you can not adjust/move. In theory that would be fine, but they were installed slightly off"/crooked, therefore the main front piece looks a bit crooked to me. Not so much that is is worth the hassle of returning, but irritating considering the cost. The other part that was not well made was the light bulb connection and how you put on the glass covers. There was no care on putting it together and therefore again, it is crooked and seems cheaply made. I suppose I could have spent far more than I did on this, but from my experience most of these things seem to be cheaply made. Now that it is up, other than the slightly off level part, it does look good, and the alabaster glass looks good. If you are on a budget, I suppose this is worth it, and bending pieces (hopefully without breaking) may do the trick, but over all I would say I would not re-purchase another of this brand.

Looks great for the price! Installation hint included in review

Not a bad light. It arrived w/o any damage to the globes which was amazing since there were 7 in the box. The installation was pretty straight forward but just a FYI. This uses the recessed nuts to hold on the globes and not the little screws on the outside of each light. If you have large fingers, this can be difficult. I ended up spending a dollar on a spring V clamp from HD and that made it super simple to thread them onto each socket. We put 7 daylight LED bulbs in it and overall.. pretty good looking light! Now to touch up the paint around it!

Great looking lamp, even better Nuvo customer service !

Light fitting is great, good quality and good looking, easy to assemble and install, but only after Nuvo helped. We have now had a total of three lamps, each damaged by transit in some way from Amazon, broken glass shades, squashed metalwork etc. packaging varied each time which caused the issues. Amazon has no way of just asking for spares, so we returned whole item each time for exchange. Amazon return process works very well, but it is a pain to hump a big box to a UPS office. Third lamp arrived with 2 more broken shades. Decided this was enough but took a chance and emailed Nuvo head office with the story. Their customer service came back within 15 minutes, advised a solution, which we agreed, and had me sorted out with 2 new shades sent free of charge to my home address, which arrived packed perfectly within in 5 days. Lamp looks fantastic in bathroom, thanks to Nuvo customer service for saving the situation and retaining an impressed customer.

Needs extra support

Before purchasing this fixture, we read the reviews and found the information in them very helpful. Knowing that the 4 attachment screws were not going to line up with the wall studs and the fixture required that for support, we screwed a long pine board securely to the studs. Next we attached the light using the 4 screws and it was secure. The fixture would never have held with 2 screws in the stud and 2 screws in the wall board, just too long and heavy with the globes. As other reviewers noted, packaging could have been better. Our fixture had two small dents in the frame but we accepted it. The fixture really lights up our bathroom and I could probably have used 40 watts bulbs instead of the 60's.

Had this for a year

We've had this product for over a year now and I'm still glad we made this purchase. I love the company too. Very good customer service. When we first bought this light fixture it just sat in the box because we were working on removing wallpaper (it's a chore. next time I'll hire someone to remove it but hindsight is always 20-20). After about a month (we really procrastinated) we finished in the bathroom and were really to put this fixture up. Upon opening the box and looking more thoroughly I noticed that one of the glasses was broken. Even though we bought the product over a month ago I contacted the company about the cost to replace it. I figured since I waited so long I should go ahead and pay to replace the glass. Instead I received a replacement without a bill within 3-4 days after contacting the company. That is how you keep loyal customers. I would recommend this company to everybody!

Attractive vanity light

The light looks great and is easy to install. The only concern I have is that one of the decorative nuts that secure the light fixture to the wall was missing. (had to use one from the old light that I was replacing). Other than that, I am happy with the product

Easy to install. Looks good, and got it at a great price!

This fixture is very easy to install. Everything arrived nicely packed, and nothing was broken. I like that I can use the regular sized globe bulbs with this and not put on the glass shades to give it a different look. Overall, a very good deal and would have cost me 4 times the price at a home improvement or lighting store.
