Lasted 1 day
Installed with no issues. During the first day of mowing about 1 acre, the mower was started maybe 5-6 times with no issues. The following week on the first attempt to start my John Deere LM145 mower, the starter would only spin without turning over the motor. After removing the started, saw the plastic gear and throwout shaft were both broken. Definitely not worth the money for only one day of use.

Gear wore ot quickly.
Go on youtube and learn how to replace that nylon gear with the metal one that I hope is on your old starter.

Cheap and effective
This was a good purchase. B&S starters are expensive. This after market started worked great on my 10HP Briggs. No complaints was a good buy.
