My NEW Cigar case
Love this box. Everytime someone sees it, I end up ordering them one, super strong, air tight,

Don't call it a purse
I started using this box to protect important stuff while paddling whitewater rivers, but as I was forced to give up the sport, I found it very useful for hauling the stuff that used to weigh down my jeans: billfold, phone, keys, pocket change, small flashlight, small knife, etc., etc. It's become such a habit that I feel unprepared without it. The new style latches are a great improvement.

It’s smaller then expected
For $50 I wish it would be at least a little bigger but other then the size it’s okay

This thing is durable.
I've been using this case for a first-aid kit and it's been great! It is definitely waterproof, and has more than enough space to fit all of the items I need it to. Even for being thick plastic, it's pretty light. The foam is great for keeping items from rattling around inside. The latches hold tight which can make it somewhat difficult to open.

Great product, check the size
It’s a pelican case, nothing negative to say here. Just make sure this is the right size you are looking for. The case is extremely small. Pictures make it appear a lot larger.

Great little case for traveling painting kit
This box is very cool. I am using it for a travel watercolor painting box. Everything I need stays contained in the box, and fitting the brush washing bottles in the foam decreases the chance for water spilling. I like the foam plucking idea. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius. You can shape the openings exactly to the things you want to have in the case. I would like the foam to be a better quality. More dense. The plucking out the foam was easy, and it works well. The last piece of foam that you use to measure and cut open to top the other foam off to make it look more neat: this I was not successful at. The foam is flimsy and did not cut well. And the holes in the foam should be smaller and denser so that when you trace out the shapes to cut them, it's difficult to do. I couldn't draw on it or cut it with precision. So it looked too sloppy to use. I will buy another piece of foam from a hardware store and try again. I haven't tested this for strength or durability, nor for it being watertight. Down the road, after some use, I will update. I like the color blue, and I'm thinking that in the future, when I need cases for travel, I will look at their line of products. Especially for things that need protection. What I am using this for is more for convenience and it looks really cool, and for a very low price. I can paint in the car with less risk of staining the car with water or paint, as everything is nice and tidy and secure. I will post pictures to show what I mean.

awesome case!
I am a whitewater kayaker spending about 130+ days a year paddling. This case gets a TON of use in my pfd for holding my replacement GoPro batteries. Waterproof and just an awesome case. Highly highly recommend.

Very Sturdy, and Heavy Duty.
Very Sturdy, and Heavy Duty. Not that lightweight, but is secure. Can take serious abuse for a product of its size. Could probably support a small car on its wheels using 4 of these! Can be immersed in water, but not dive submersible rated. One way Pressure Purge valve to release air during flights, can cause a partial vacuum inside, which requires only a little more force to open afterwards. Just make sure to check the neoprene o-ring seal for dirt or damage, and occasionally wipe clean, and re-lubricrate with a good silicone based lubricrant. Note: Petroleum based lubricants (such as vaseline) can degrade some rubber type seals. Lifetime Warranty, although not against normal wear and tear (for example, scratches, nicks), bear/shark attack, and funnily, also children?

The very best in this product line.
The production values are of the highest, I have dealt with the competitors and they are good but not the best quality as we see in Pelican. I have carried a portable hard drive around for fifteen years in a Pelican case and it has come to no harm, these products exist in a world where the word 'overengineered' is a positive and not a negative. The extra price is worth it if your items are worth protecting. I am as proud of my purchase today as I was in 2007.

Pelican using single layer pre-cut foam as insert.
Pelican has been left behind when it comes to the foam insert they put into this small container. Modern foam inserts are multi-layered, allowing for easy and precise cutting out to the depth required. Pelican's advice is to tear out the entire depth of the foam columns, then cut the chunk you just ripped out, to the depth required and glue the foam back in. This is very old school and surprising for what should be a high-end product. Go look for "Kaizen Foam" and you will immediately understand how Pelican has missed the boat on this product's foam insert. The plastic case is very nice, but the insert is a mess to work with.

Great storage for my multimeter.
My new multimeter is expensive and even though I was careful with my older one the bag that came with it was mainly something to keep parts together and offer not protection and the screen ended up getting scratched in transport. The higher quality case was better but expensive for what you got, for fun I checked Pelican thinking they would be great but too expensive. I was surprised to find the 1120, sizing looked good and it was not much more in price than the original soft case offered by the manufacturer. Multimeter fits perfectly with the cables and I use the original bag to carry extra parts. Very happy

Best cases in the business
I've purchased a few pelican cases over the years and they are a great investment. This one I use when camping to keep a few key items dry and protected both in transport and while on site. The foam insert is easy to work with and can be completely removed if not needed (the foam provides shock dampening but the case is crush proof and water proof with or without it). I've used an earlier 1120 case for many years to store both 3.5 and 2.5 inch hard drives with no complaints. I'm not sure if it does anything, but I often save the desiccant packs from other items and throw a few into the case when storing items long term to keep things extra dry.
