Reptology presenteert de Floating Turtle Pier van PENN-PLAX. Deze drijvende pier doet ook dienst als zonneplatform en zweeft iets boven de waterlijn in je aquarium. Met deze functie kan uw huisdier buiten het water rusten en eten. Het Basking Platform gaat omhoog en omlaag met de waterlijn van je aquarium. Naast een beter zicht zorgt de pier ook voor meer interactie tussen jou en je favoriete vriend! Geweldig voor schildpadden, krabben, kikkers, salamanders, salamanders en nog veel meer! Veilige steunen: het platform van de pier rust op 3 maststeunen die zijn bevestigd met zuignappen, die aansluiten op het bodemoppervlak van een tank. Perfect Size for my aquarium

I'm so glad I purchased this cute basking platform for my turtle. It was so easy to assemble and it was the perfect size for my aquarium. I think my turtle likes it as well!

could be better

It was great for a while and looks super cute in turtle tank. But it’s WAY too hard to clean. The suctions do not hold well and the height is terrible for anything bigger than 10 gal tank. It’s alright.

This dock is a temporary fix for now

This basking dock arrived smaller then expected. I just up graded to a 40 gallon breeder for my two, now one year old RES, this dock was a no. No... I purchased the larger size from the pet store for the corner of my tank. My turtles turned everything upside down in the tank including this basking dock. I spent an hour digging in the tank to find the rubber suction cup for the leg. The next time I had to empty out the whole tank, rocks and all to find the suction cups. A true headache. I also noticed that the bottom of my turtles were never dry, as the dock floats down to the water level. Solution: I placed two plastic zip ties under each leg to make the platform stabble. This now stops the basking dock from sinking down and getting submerged in waster. The ramp still remains in the water so you turtles can gain access. The ramp must be snapped into the slot provided to stay on. If you just hook it over the grove it is not secure. Secure the ramp so that it does not fall into the water every time your turtle attempts to us it. I had to figure it out so that my turtles don't wind up with soft shell. Soon I plan to build an above tank basking dock out of egg crate. So all in all this dock is a temporary fix for now. May be great for hatchlings.

As described turtle like to be under it not on it

Soy turtle just now became big enough to try this. He will stay on it if I place him there but refuses to get on it on his on and I know he can because he climbs the rock I have in there which is taller. He actually liked to be under it. Also it does float if you put a lot of water in the tank. So After taking some it it still rarely stays in place plus its wobbly w the suction cups. Still not sure how I feel bout it but will update if he gets on. Also ordered some else to try

Will fit in a 5 1/2 gallon aquarium or larger

My little turtle likes it, this floating platform, so I am happy to! I place a few of his food pellets (little log shaped things) on top of the platform ; he'll go scamper up the ramp, grab one and jump back into the water with it -over and over until all are gone, then go after the floating ones. He gets fed and he gets exercise and I get a good feeling watching him! John

Floating turtle pier

Suction not good, I struggle to get it to stick. When it finally got stuck it looks a little side ways not sure if it just me. I wish it was a little taller, that way it would give my turtle more space to swim around. I also dont like that everytime he goes to the ramp the whole thing just moves. I'd give it a 5 star if it was more sturdy.

Definitely not what I expected or ordered!!!

It doesn't float!! So bought this for my turtle and thankfully he is still little so we don't need much water but once he gets bigger he will need more water and the dock will be underwater. You can see in picture 2 that the water is just gonna go over it. So I sat it's not what it says and it's not worth the money. The suction cups don't stick to anything. If it wasn't such a hassle to send back we would but I'm not dealing with that headache.

Sturdy

I modified it so the platform would stay out of the water since the screwable posts don’t really keep it high enough but other than that it is a good price for what you get. My slidder seems to be enjoying it
