Seems like a good crate, but my dog didn't like it. Had to switch back to old one.

I wanted to get my dog a bigger kennel so I bought this. I don't know what was wrong, but she HATED this crate. She turned into a demon in it. After 2 days of using it, I put her back in the old kennel and she was fine. I wish I could return it but she really messed up this plastic strip behind the kennel door so im assuming they wont let me. It's not there fault she doesn't like it but I'm giving 4 stars because the plastic was destroyed so easy. She isn't normally a destructive dog and not very strong either but she was able to take a good chunk of it out in a short amount of time. I also am not a fan of the bottom . My dog doesn't like laying on beds in the crates and moves any blanket/bed to the side so she can lay on the bare plastic, and there is such big dips around the bottom it doesn't look comfortable to lay on without a bed in it. Maybe that's why she hated it so much.

strong design

Very easy to assemble, no tools needed. Lightweight but very sturdy. I bought it to be used exclusively for trips to the vet but my cat decided it would make a nice, private bedroom. The design is sturdy enough so I can take it apart regularly to give it a complete cleaning, wipe it dry and hand assemble back together without any signs of excessive wear and tear. We're both happy with this purchase.

Aspen new home

This was the best investment we ever made for the love of our family. She doesn't like it because she can't just use her nose/tail to push her way out of cage. The old one she used to be able to do that and now we can sleep at night and we thank the creator of this product.

Easy to assemble

Very easy to put together and works well. Bought the 24” for my miniature poodle puppy who weighs 12 lbs . He can stand up inside but he’s stills pretty short

Door hinge arrived bent.

This is being used by my 15-week-old toy poodle. Plenty of room for her and should have enough room when she is grown. She's around 4 lbs now and should be around 7.5 lbs when grown. Sturdy enough to carry her in without sagging. Plenty of ventilation and openings in the plastic do not have any sharp edges. The door's effective opening size seems smaller than I expected even after measuring with a comparable crate. The door has been a challenge as it doesn't open easily. Putting it together at first was challenging as one of the door hinges arrived bent but I was able to straighten it out so that it would fit into the openings. I'll follow up to see if perhaps I can get a replacement door to resolve this issue.

As Expected-Well Made

Our rescue has just tested positive for Heartworm, so as we prepare for treatment (which includes exercise restrictions), we needed to get a crate. We bought the biggest one: 40 Inches for Large Dogs. Our girl is only 53 pounds, so there is plenty of room in there for her, her blankets, a couple toys and some water...with plenty of room to get up and stretch and turn-around. It's sturdy and was easy to put together...and it should be very easy to clean. We have had PetMate kennels/crates in the past so this is exactly what we expect from them. Above, where Amazon asked me to rate it for travel, I only gave it 2 stars. If you needed it for constant travel in your car and were going to leave it there...great! If you need to transport it in and out of the car, in and out of the house, in and out of room...it would be difficult with this large crate. It's not really too heavy once all assembled, but it's so big, it would be awkward to carry. There are no handles on the sides or top like there are on smaller crates. You would definitely need two people unless you were going to take it apart each time.

24ins pet carrier

I received this recently and have just come to assemble today. Mine is not the colour advertised but all cream[just dark clips]---but no great problem. It was 'easyish' to assemble. By that I mean I did have to push the clips together with a bit of 'oomph' but eventually all clipped into place. The fact that is was a little tight to clip is quite good as,hopefully, the clips will actually STAY clipped!!! It does seem sturdy enough but I have not bought the basket for any air-line travel only as a 'stand-by' basket for any vet trips to accommodate my 7kgs+ cat [or his smaller brother!!!] It does seem he will have quite a bit of room to stretch and be comfy. I cannot comment on the handles' strength---- as I 've stated its a 'stand-by'. It appears good for my boys.

Amazing quality

I cant rate this crate highly enough. Used it flying my lab x from the uk to Thailand. Then to Amsterdam and then home. It's been solid all through and it's still in near perfect condition. Was also used as his bed in Thailand for 6 months.

Sturdiness, easy to assemble, plenty of room

Easy to assemble and sturdy , plenty of room for our dog to stand up and turn around in , she’s a mix between a Collie and Spaniel , only negative point is that it doesn’t come with labels and feeding bowls at the price .... will up date review once our dog has flown in an aircraft and it passes the IATA Approval code. Size of kennel I bought was X Large

No Handles ?

Ordered two 40" crates for my dogs long haul flights. They are large crates & i can't for the life of me understand why there are no handles or grip holes on the crates? With +/- 17-22kg dogs inside how are two people supposed to lift them up & place in vehicle or on / off airport conveyor belts ? I have a smaller Vari kennel for my younger & smaller dog - this one has handles ? Not happy as this is an obvious design oversight which makes no sense!

perfect for my Labrador dog

Light weight kennel, perfect for my Labrador dog, and he is a big boy. Together he and kennel 49 kg, which is the maximum if you want to fly with your dog, over 49kg together and he would've been garco and flight would have been very expensive, so lucky to have found kennel light enough, but sturdy and IATA approved!
