Philips Avent Anti-colic met AirFree-ontluchtingsflessen zijn ontworpen om voedingsproblemen zoals koliek, gasvorming en oprispingen te verminderen. De unieke AirFree-opening is ontworpen om lucht weg te zuigen van de speen en deze vol melk te houden om luchtinname te voorkomen. Deze opening houdt ook de speen vol met melk, zelfs als de fles horizontaal wordt gehouden, waardoor rechtop voeden mogelijk is. These are not sealed and that’s how it’s suppose to be

At first I was all upset that these weren’t sealed and I inspected them and they didn’t have any indication they were used. Had some dust and maybe a bit of residue on the outside of the bottle probably due to storage in the warehouse. Anyways, I was about to return them when I went to the store and checked to see if they should be sealed or not. This company (Avent) is weird. Some of their products like the glass bottles, nipples only and the set with the giraffe pacifier are sealed but the 3 or 4 pack, and individual plastic ARE NOT. Not only this company but as well as Dr. Brown and Nuk. The only ones that I saw was sealed with all their products were the brand Tommee Tippy or MAM. I guess since since you have to sterilize them in boiled water, they thought no need seal. Anyways, I would think anything that touches baby’s mouth should be sealed for sanitation reason. Anyways, I love Avent bottles, I used them on my first baby and they never gave her and hopefully my new baby colic. I did notice one of the green thing was cracked after sterilizing in boiled water, no biggie. These can be a bit tricky and do have some leakage but gotta just readjust baby sucking and no leaking.

Leaky nipples. Keep your spoons UP!

The media could not be loaded. I received a small version of this bottle as a free sample with my baby registry and I liked it a lot. After getting fed up with my Dr. Brown’s bottles for leaking all over my baby for the millionth time in the middle of the night, I put them all away and overnight-shipped a 4-pack of these and a pack of size 1 nipples from Amazon (these come with size 2). I like that they have relatively few parts that are easy to take apart and clean. One of my “spoons” has warped a little bit where it’s supposed to insert snugly into the bottle mouth but doesn’t affect the function of the bottle. The way the bottle is anti-colic is that a hole in the spoon piece will cause the nipple to completely fill with milk no matter what angle you tip the bottle. I didn’t realize this at first. The thought behind this is that no air can get into the nipple for your baby to swallow and cause gas. This seems like a good idea unless you practice paced bottle feeding. Not really an issue for us anymore because my baby got used to drinking from these without pacing, but could be a challenge for some babies. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that the anti-colic mechanism for these bottles functions a very specific way. It requires you to hold the bottle in a very specific orientation—with the spoon up! A couple of times, when testing the nipples, I accidentally discovered that holding the bottle the wrong way could cause the milk to flow out of these nipples in a stream that would literally waterboard your baby (see attached video). All 4 of them do it. I think it only happens if you don’t have the spoon oriented up, but I can’t always replicate the issue to verify that. So please make sure you test your nipples and warn your well-meaning grandparents and babysitters, etc. before letting them feed your baby with these bottles. There is a small graphic on the spoon piece that instructs you to hold the bottle “this way up,” but most people who aren’t familiar with the bottles aren’t even looking for it. I noticed my aunt while feeding my baby kept holding the bottle with the spoon the wrong way despite correcting her a couple of times, so I guess there is a little learning curve to these.

Easy to wash colic bottle

I have used different types of bottles for colic and these are the best and easy to wash. Not like other options with so many parts and tubes to wash.

Overall good product.

It’s a good product for newborn baby for upto 4 months. Company is claiming Anti-Colic feature in bottle, but it doesn’t need. Based on my experience baby wants milk when they cry doesn’t matter if the bottle has Anti-Colic AirFree Vent or not. You need to replace the bottle nipple every month because the nipple gets loose with time and milk start spilling from bottle while feeding baby in bottle downward position. Overall, a good purchase. Happy with the product.

Excelente calidad, vale lo que cuesta

Por mucho tiempo estuve buscando y probando opciones de biberones, hasta que compré este paquete. La tecnología que tienen se traduce en comodidad tanto para el bebé como para los padres; filtra casi nada de aire y la mamila es perfecta, tiene la abertura apropiada además de suavidad, textura y forma. Por su tamaño es fácil de lavar y ensamblar.

Se ven de buena calidad, llegaron bien empaquetados y en buena condición, aún no los utilizó ya que aún no nace mi bebe, pero cómo son flujo 2 probablemente deba utilizar otros con un flujo menor, sin embargo, son buena compra para utilizarlos más adelante! ☺️ los recomiendo!

Product came with badly damaged packaging

Product arrived as described, have not yet tested it to see if it works as advertised in preventing colic. However the box came in a poor condition with all the edges very badly damaged. While it probably doesn't affect the bottles inside much, it just wasn't too pleasant to receive such a damaged box.
