It's more orange than red

Trying to do the environmentally responsible thing here and go LED. I had three red 85 watt incandescent floods as part of a holiday display in the yard. When one flood went out last week, figured I'd go LED and be all set for next year. I screwed in the LED flood to take a look and it's ORANGE compared to the light cast by both the red faceted Philips LED C6 string lights on the bushes nearby and the incandescent red floods which are about 12' away. If it's the only red you want to use it might be fine but I wouldn't recommend putting these in a mixed use lighting display with other red lighting if you want everything to match. On the plus side, the flood does throw off some nice strong light that travels just as far as the incandescent flood. May look into getting some lighting film to cover the lens for next year.

More orange than red

They are lightbulbs they either work or don’t work. The two I have installed have worked. They are sufficiently bright. My only problem is that, compared to another manufacturer’s RED floodlights of the same 90 watt PAR38 rating, these look ORANGE, not red.

Recommend

Very bright LED bulbs, and I like how they are 19 watts instead of 90, which will save money over the life of these bulbs, and they are allegedly supposed to last 10 times longer than 90 watt incandescent bulbs too, although I can't personally vouch that this is actually the case. As for the yellow color, it is not supposed to attract bugs, but I notice that bugs fly around these light bulbs at night time anyway.

Meh

Light output is poor. Bulbs look red but the light they project is more of a pink color and they don’t project far at all. Not sure how much of that is due to the red light color vs the bulb itself but not happy with the outcome.

Nice flood lights

The yellow ones throw a decent amount of light, about as much as a white or warm white LED flood light of similar watt equivalency. They also weigh a little less than the warm white ones I replaced with these. What I really like is the color. The light is yellow without a trace of green.

The lights are nice and bright, but some bugs still come to them., not as bad as before.

Great price!

Great price, LEDS are the way to good! No heat if used outside against plants, building & not have the fear of of the building & fire. Plus the old ones used 500 watts, these use less 15 watts.
