Well-made but essentially a miniskirt

Sturdy skort for hiking and camping and made of a tough-looking "adventure" fabric, but miniskirt length makes it look incongruous for outdoor activities. Should be a couple of inches longer to keep off bugs and sun.

Needs an adjustable waist

PrAna seems like a popular brand so I wanted to give this skirt a try. I’ve owned a number of outdoor skirts and skorts over the years because I prefer them over shorts. It’s a nice blend of cotton and polyester that has a decent thickness for durability. The mud color is darker like the photo of the front of the skort. The back pockets fit my iPhone 11! If it weren’t for my silicone case I could even zip it shut; it misses by that tiny bit. The front pockets are also well angled and roomy for my hands. Where this falls short for me is the elastic waist. It feels like the elastic is a little stretched out. My hips aren’t as narrow as they used to be. It’s a little tight getting it over my hips even though it fits once on my waist. I’m petite size 4 or 6 pants depending on brand. This would be better if there was a tie to adjust the waist or a zip/snap front to make it easier to put on. The length is a few inches above the knee. The fit does seem a little baggy probably due to the fact it doesn’t stretch so it needs some space to slip on. A small section of fabric on the back waist doesn’t sit right because of the way it is stitched. If you don’t have a flat butt, this may not look attractive. On the right body shapes this could be a good skort. It worked great for a recent camping trip and all-day wear. The puffiness in back was less once I started walking around more and had the phone in the back pocket. No issues with itchiness or discomfort from the inside lining.

My husband loves his prAna stuff…

… and now I know why. This skort is fashionable, functional, well made, and comfortable. It’s worth the full asking price but as I write this it’s on sale and an absolute steal. They use high quality materials in their construction that have some give to them and look like they can go from the trail or the court to office without looking too technical or outdoorsy. The pockets are actually functional. It’s true to size and the coloring is accurate to the listing. 5-6, 130ish, size 6.

Love the skirt, great quality but runs large

I used to wear prAna in the past and their clothing always ran a bit on the smaller side. I ordered a size 8 and it is huge. The waistband sits but moves around a lot and the bottom part poofs out instead of laying flat against my body. I could have easily gone down 2 sizes and had it fit perfectly. The fit is a shame because it’s a great skirt, plenty of pocket space and can be worn casually or during a hike.

I really love this skort

I'm a fan of skorts in general, and I also really like the prAna brand. This skort is everything I had hoped. I like the color, like the fabric, like the fit, like the cut and style. I'm just under 5' 4", maybe 120 pounds, and the size 4 fits me well. It's possible that even a size 2 would have fit, as this is not tight on me at all. I'd say if you are going by the size chart they show, size down. I'm not sure those waist measurements are accurate. Anyway, I usually wear a size 4 in most brands, so that's what I decided to get, and it was a good choice. Given my height, the hem hits far lower down on me than on the model in the photo. It's still above my knees, but reasonably modest. The elastic in the waistband gives it some sizing flexibility, and it's not the super skinny elastic that digs into you when you sit. This skirt is designed for comfort and has an overall feeling of ease. The zippered rear pockets are nice. You could easily throw a few bills and an ID in there. Glad I got it.

Comfortable, stylish and excellent quality

STYLE: I would descript this as 'Smart Outdoor Casual'. I like how this can be worn doing light outdoor activities and still nice enough to go to a restaurant. The short is sewed into the skirt, cannot be detached. FABRIC: Very nice, feels strong but not bulky or heavy, just beautiful. FIT: I am 110lb, for bottoms I usually wear US size 2-4 (EUR 37-38). I ordered size 4 and it fits me comfortable, I can probably go a size down but I like this as I like my clothes a bit loose. Over all I am very pleased with this prAna Women's Double Peak Skort, pleased with the quality and fit! Hope the photo helps!

Super comfortable

I probably could have sized down because this runs bigger than expected, but it is SO comfortable. It feels almost like wearing pajama bottoms, but in a skirt. It's adorable. It does wrinkle a bit, but I can't even get mad about that. I'm in love with anything that is comfy and this actually makes me look like I made an effort to pry myself out of my workout clothes. It looks great with an oversized cropped hoodie and boots. It does run a bit big so keep that in mind, but even slightly large, it's totally worth it.

Very nice skort, durable, functional and looks great.

I am 5'7" and 160lbs. I normally wear a size 10 in pants, I got this skort in a size 10 and it fit perfectly. The outer skirt is made out of a ripstop type of material, but does have a slight stretch to it. The shorts underneath are typical spandex; they stayed in place well and didn't ride up. There are no inner pockets on the shorts, which would have been the only additional thing I would have loved to see on this skort. The skort as two nicely sized hand pockets on the front and zippered back pockets (also good size). I have been wanting to try PrAna's skorts for some time so was very excited to get this for review. I am a big fan of this brand. I own a couple tank tops, a cardigan, and a couple dresses from PrAna, I loved their pledge to sustainability. All of those clothing items have lasted many years. This skort seems to be the same high quality. Very happy with this. I wear skorts most of the summer for hiking, going to work, pretty much everything. I love that this has a more durable outer material, it will be wonderful for lots of different activities. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a high quality, comfy, and highly functional skort!
