After using for a full year...

Bought this on Amazon on May 10, 2022. I use it when I grill, bake, broil or stove top. Can’t be any simpler. Just unfold the probe, the meter turns on, put in the food product and instantly read the temperature. If it says the pork loin is 165 degrees F, you cut into the pork and it’s done but still juicy. Same for beef, chicken, whole turkey or whatever you are cooking to whatever temperature you need. Not a single issue after a full year of use. Highly recommend.

This is a Keeper

Slowly over the past year we began to notice that our BBQ meats have been getting overcooked and drier. We then paid more attention to oven roasted meats and noticed some of the same. My wife remembered seeing a mercury thermometer in one of our storage boxes, a precision item that was saved from my early years as a Stationary Engineer. We did comparison tests between it and our electronic meat thermometer at various temperatures, and found the electronic one to measure seven degrees lower at 165 degrees. A couple of searches at sites found the Qisebin Digital Meat Thermometer at Amazon, the ratings were good as was the price. We recently received our order and had the time to run the same comparison tests. Spot on the money, though the mercury device does not do tenths of a degree. We both really like the competition orange color for looks and it stands out in the utensil drawer. We fired up the grill for BBQ chicken for lunch today (love those leftovers), and used this new thermometer. The probe entered easily and in a couple of seconds gave us a reading of 160 and about four minutes later 165.5 degrees. Our chicken was moist, flavorful and we felt secure knowing that the temperature was correct!

Basically a Thermopen but WAY less expensive!

I received my Qisebin thermometer literally as I was grilling some chicken, so I opened it up and gave it try. (The Amazon delivery guy said the meat smelled awesome, by the way.) The unit came ready to go, with the battery installed. This thermometer gave a temperature reading in about 2-3 seconds-very fast! It's on the larger side, which at first I thought I wouldn't like. but actually, the larger size allows two things to happen: 1) It allows for a large display which is thus easy to read and 2) I can reach the meat on the grill without taking the meat off or burning myself. The magnet stuck firmly to the grill for storage. My wife was boiling water for corn so I checked the temperature of the water to test the thermometer's accuracy. It read 211.5, which is exactly the boiling point of water at my elevation. I then went into a closet and turned out the light to test the display lighting. A+. Nice and bright and easy to toggle on. All in all, a great purchase. 5 stars, would buy again.

Love this thing

Having the magnet (did not even know about the magnet when purchase) makes life so much easier, stored right where I needed it, and no more looking through the draw at the last minute. It's really big.. much bigger then my others. It's supper easy to ready, even when grilling out.. use it maybe 4 times a week, for the last 3 months, no issues.

Very Accurate

I compared the reading on this meat thermometer with my mercury thermometer that I use for color photography. I know that the mercury thermometer is very accurate. The meat thermometer gave the same readings as the mercury thermometer and only took 2 seconds. I also like the lighted display. I do a lot of bar-be-queueing in the evening and in the past I needed to hold a flashlight to the thermometer to read it. No more! I also like the way it automatically turns on when you fold out the probe, and turns off when you fold the probe back in. This is a quality instrument and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good meat thermometer!

Affordable and reliable.

I have been wanting to to obtain a meat thermometer for some time. There were many to select from Amazon and I spent quite a bit of time reading reviews on many. The price was reasonable and reviews quite good...a no brainer decision. This device is accurate, reliable, affordable and a good investment. Thank you Amazon!

Easy to use and very convenient.

The magnet keeps it conveniently stuck to my fridge until I need it. Turns on quickly and reads the temp fast. No issues at all with it. The only thing I would like is to see on it is the temperatures to cook meats to, my other thermometers have this printed on them.
