Good trike but difficult to assemble
This trike is very sturdy and well built. However, I spent half an hour trying to install one of the two bolts securing the frame to the rear step. One hole requires you to install the longitudinal bolt in a VERY tight spot on the underside of the step. There’s about a quarter inch clearance for you to install a washer and lock nut. No room for your fingers. I wound up getting a small bar magnet to help position the washer and nut onto the bolt. Very awkward design.

Radio Flyer Tricycle
I really like this tricycle. It reminds me of when I was a kid way too long ago. Radio Flyer has been around a long time. I really like that. It has all the Radio Flyer quality that I was used to when I was a kid. Very sturdy and well built. Good instructions on how to assemble. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble only because I could not find my hammer. This is what took the most time. If I had all the tools available, it should have only taken 10 or 15 minutes at the most. This tricycle has a rod in the back which allows you to keep your child going the right direction. This rod is a great addition for a beginner tricycle. It can be removed when no longer needed. If you push the rod slowly and help your child to steer with his or her arms and hands then your child will quickly learn how to steer this great toy. Start out slow and don't do the steering yourself. Pull and push on your child's arms and hands to steer the tricycle. This way they more quickly learn what is required to steer. The only thing I did not like was that it was made in China. However, I did not ding the product for being made in China. The price was great for the quality of this product. I sure would like to see "Made in the USA" more. Kind of saddens you when the great toys of yesterday are no longer made in the good ole USA. Still rated it 5 stars because it does look to be very sturdy and should be around in the family a long time. I still use a 30 years old Radio Flyer wagon to pull my 2 year old in. I used it years ago with my second child who is now 30 years old. Sure do like the name brand. NOTE: I was careful to read the reviews before I bought this tricycle for my 2 year old. Taking a few minutes reading reviews can save you a whole lot of time down the road. This is something I am doing more and more as I order more products over the internet versus buying locally. Most local retailers sell junk so you will have to buy again soon. This helps them maximize their profits. But does you little good. This is why I am more and more an internet shopper for what my family needs and wants. I live in a large metropolitan area with many stores close by and I am convinced that most of what the local stores are selling is junk so they can make another sale soon of the same type of product.

Jigsaw costume, heavy
The only reason I purchased my toddler this is because he's going to be jigsaw for Halloween. It was easy-ish to assemble, but it's bulky and heavy and the seat keeps turning. That said, it seems really high quality. It's just not ideal for every day use.

The pushing really don’t work
Very pretty bike BUT if your kid doesn’t know how to use the steering wheel yet or don’t reach the pedals that push won’t work because is not connect it to the steering wheel ????????‍♀️ So is so hard to use it and even I decided to buy other bike after use it once, if you kid knows how to drive the bike and reach pedals will work perfectly

Nice paint scheme, nice design but....
Metal is of very thin sheet metal, paint appears that it can peel easy with time. Squeaks when my child is pedaling in bike.

Very good and sturdy classic
I wish the handle was a bit longer, but otherwise all is as good as expected. Love the durability of the bike. It'll be here for generations.

as much fun for grandpa as for the grandkids!
We purchased this trike just prior to a visit with the grandkids, It arrived on time (actually, two days early)and in good shape. The bike has a cream and red paint job and looks new-vintage. It was easy to put together. We all loved the look (including the parents). I was glad to find a tricycle built from metal instead of plastics as my grandson is quite the little demolisher. Grandpa took him for a ride atleast 5 times each day that we were there. Although very tall for his age, our 20mo. could not quite keep his feet on the pedals when in motion but had no problems keeping his feet up during the ride. He did steer a lot and sometimes cranked the wheel to the left (out of the blue) making us roar with laughter. A light push down on the bar corrected the movement quite easily. We chose this trike over the ones with the adult steering simply due to the free ratcheting pedals on that other style. We wanted the kids to be able to learn to ride as normal, with the safety of an adult near the helper bar. The other style is free wheeling; meaning if the child goes down a hill (even a slight grade), the bike takes off with no means of controlling the speed. They cannot pedal backwards in that type, or put pressure on the pedals to slow down the speed. I didn't want our grandkids rolling into the street at a fast speed with no means of stopping. This is just my opinion and a major reason we chose this particular trike. All in all, we feel we made a great choice and this radio flyer will be in use for a long time then passed down to the next child when out grown, rather than thrown in the trash when worn out.

Sturdy tricycle
This comes in a small box with everything inside wrapped in bubble wrap, so well protected. Instructions are clear and the bike is easy to put together. It’s seems heavy duty and should last a long time. Nothing cheap about it.

Theres Pros and Cons.....
I wanted to get a metal tricycle for my son and was undecided on Ketler or Radio Flyerbeings a $50.00 difference between the two. The Pros: - It's made of metal - The handle is very handy to control where your kids go - It's well painted - Rubber tires - Durable The Cons: - Makes loud noises if not greased - The casting for the bolt holes is rough - Wobbly front to the back frame (A fair amount of side to side movement more than what I would like to see). - Plastic rear tire caps can break or fall off but they do give you a spare in the box - Quality issues -Tire trim white/cream white paint flaked and uneven My deciding factor between this and Kettler was the handle to control the bike while my LO is learning. If Kettler had one with a handle like that I would have went with them due to quality. Overall: It's a good bike it will last many years at a good price point although it should be a little cheaper due to the quality. Any tricycle that is made of metal with rubber tires is better then plastic.

Great trike. I couldn't have asked for more.
Nice looking and solidly built. Much better quality than I expected. Easy to put together - all you need is a single hex crescent wrench (I used a mini adjustable one), as long as you're okay using the wrench to tap a couple of the pieces together. Seat and handlebars are adjustable for smaller kids. At the lowest point for each, my 20-month-old can work the pedals. It's super easy to climb onto, and not all that easy to fall off of (the handlebars kind of wrap around a bit to give them a good grip). The handle makes it easy to push while letting the kid steer, though I only had to do that for the first two minutes until she figured out how to pedal it herself.

Great item, bad packaging.
This was exactly what I expected. A great, solid all steal tricycle unlike the crappy plastic ones i see around the parks. I see other reviews complaining about squeaking wheels but so far it hasn't been a issue. Maybe thats because I used grease on the rear wheel axles during the assembly. Only negative thing to speak about so far was the terrible packaging. It came in the radio flyer cardboard box which was to small for the item. The rear wheel axle poked out at least a inch out the box. I didn't notice this until I was sliding the box on the floor and realized it snatched up my hardwood. Other then that its a great classic kids tricycle.

Sturdy and pretty paint finish
A bit big for a 2 year old who is in the 60% for hight and weight. My three and a half year old fits it perfectly and he is also 60%
