Holy crap, I love this thing!

My scruffy 7-month-old terrier mix is not the brainiest when it comes to potty training. He doesn't alert us when he has to go, and continually urinates in the house. He also eats everything, especially potty pads. Potential health/behavior influences aside, this awesome potty pad tray is saving my sanity. It took a few days for him to get used to it, but he now uses it nearly consistently. I think we need to deep clean our carpets to get rid of residual odors, but once we do that I expect to be cleaning urine out of the carpet much more rarely! Softer stool does stick to the plastic a bit, but it's easy to spray it off when I clean the tray. I haven't experienced any runny stool, but I don't expect it would be much different, as long as it wasn't allowed to dry on.

Screen unable remove. just figured I use the tray. Hood covered pads, but dog tore pad up in second. Gave fast refund. Maybe it work on your dog though.

Here’s the thing..

Our 3 month old corgi/chihuahua mix was very unsure about this product when we first got it a week ago. Mainly he thought it was a new bed lol He’s used to doing his business on his potty pads in our bathroom, since we live in an apartment. I was getting really tired of having to wipe the floor down constantly though when his urine would seep through, or if he went on the edge of the pad. The biggest issue is him stepping in his potty and finding wet paw prints all over our hardwood floors. He doesn’t like the mesh piece on top of this product and only went potty on it twice — both times still walking away with wet paw prints (which was my main purpose of buying this tray specifically). I’ve had to remove the top mesh just so he’ll use the tray, but it’s only 50% of the time. He resorts to just peeing on the floor now half the time, so it’s been a difficult experience. Overall, I’m going to give him more time to try and transition... but knowing even with the mesh the paw prints are still an issue, I can’t recommend this to others trying to solve that issue based on how things have been so far. If your pup is already trained using trays then I see no problem with this one! It’s very nice quality and seems easy to mange!

So I seen this on-line at Amazon and it had good reviews for stopping the chewing

I ordered this because I have two puppies. They kept chewing and shredding their training pads up. I was scared of them eating the pads and getting sick. I first tried the training pad holder that kept the four corners secure, but they would manage to chew in middle of pad no matter how tight you would put it in. Then I tried the bitter apple spray, which did help quite a bit, but they were still occasionally get in middle of pad and chew it up and sometime pull it out of tray. So I seen this on-line at Amazon and it had good reviews for stopping the chewing. Believe me with two puppies, I had double the trouble. I got this yesterday. They immediately started using it as soon as I laid it down. It has good rubber traction on bottom, so they can't drag and move it around. There is no way they can get to the pad to chew it because of the grate like cover that goes over the pad. The clean up is easy too. I wish I had seen this to begin with. Now I feel like I don't have to worry about leaving them, when I have to go somewhere, and have to dread coming home to the chewed up mess!

Bring these back in stock!!!

This is such an amazing invention. It can get smelly but you have to wipe it down every few times. I’ll spray it with cleaner and wipe it while the pad is still under it. And do a deeper clean every month or so. A hand held steamer helps a lot. I wish they would make more or bring them back in stock. Other colors would be cool too. Great thing to have between walks my shih tzu loves it.

Does the trick

I have mixed feelings about this training tray. I bought this because my puppy would tare his pee-pads to shreds. He would also get his paws wet from walking on his pee-pad and track it around the house, which is not acceptable. So for those reasons I decided to do research and found this product. Cons: Poop gets stuck in the little crevices of the trays. I bought two and initially I would switch them out, taking one outside to hose it down and air dry while the other one was in use. Unfortunately my dog also uses this as a chew toy and has chewed the sides up so badly that he is able to pop it open and tear it to shreds anyways. Also, my dog was very confused and thought it was a bed. Sometimes I still catch him laying on this training tray. Despite the cons, this products is absolutely necessary for our household.

Absolutely Perfect!

When you get a new furry member of your family, you buy a lot of stuff. After a month with my puppy, I can say with confidence, this is the best thing I bought. Everything about this piddle pad holder is perfect. The pads I bought don't exactly fit, but can easily be folded under for a perfect fit. When puppy has to potty, the tray keeps his feet dry and out of the mess. His other deposits sit on top for easy pick up. I like to give the tray a little wipe down with a Clorox wipe when I swap out pads, and about once a week I clean it with a bleach spray. Tray base easily flips up and I just roll out the used pad. I bought a cheaper item for a back up when puppy was on the loose, but it was not worth the money. Puppies love to chew, and the other holder gave him free access to the piddle pad. This holder keeps the pad out of the way of puppy teeth. I absolutely recommend this to everyone. I wish I had 2 of these!

Wonderful product

Bought for my 6-pound Russian Toy breed dog to use indoors. Now he can not shred his wee pads! Perfect solution! I do need to fold a bit of one edge of the wee pads but it just takes a second to do so I am fine with that. The plastic framing is super easy to clean and I think it has helped my puppy to learn ‘this is where you go’ as opposed to a wee pad laying on the floor being a shred toy or indistinguishable from any other place on the floor. I think the grid area works as a doggie reminder that this is where to go as well. Great product.

Keeps the pee pads in place.

The media could not be loaded. Not enough room for a big dog. Our puppy dashhound is managing for now. Easy too clean and a great way too keep the pee pad in place. Our pee pads are larger but folding them is no problem. Update, Our dashhound is 7 months. He still loves his pee pad at night just for pee if he needs it. Most of the time he goes outside.

Everyone who plans on pee pad training their puppy should get this product!

Shipping was fast. I’m so glad I finally found this product. My puppy just turned 6 months a few days ago. He was pee pad trained from a young age, however, he would go on the pee pad only if it is a fresh one. Often, I would find a soiled pee pad with 1 pee on it, then pee and/poo outside of the pee pad. He simply would not go on it twice. And occasionally, he would shred/dig into the pee pad (which sits on a holder). Ever since I got this product, he has been doing ALL his business on it. I only change out the pee pad once a day. Saves me a lot of work! For cleaning, I use vinegar to wipe the mesh after I pick up the poop. I plan on doing a “deep clean” of the mesh once a week as suggested by other people. I wish I had this product right from the beginning. Wonder why it’s not sold in stores or why it’s not more popular.

FORMIDABLE

C'est parfait pour l'entrainement de notre chiot. Les pattes restent sèches. Cependant, l'usage quotidien d'un pipi pad n'est pas du tout écologique. Nous avons donc remplacé le fond par un bac plus profond rempli de litière biodégradable. Je le nettoie 2 fois par semaines, la litière va au composte et les cacas dans la toilette. La grille se nettoie très facilement en 2 minutes sous la douche. Je recommande fortement ce produit, mais svp …. faites un petit effort pour l'environnement en ne faisant plus l'usage des pads !
