lived at 9500 feet in the Rockie.As far as I'm concerned these are high top Tennis shoes. The soles are too soft they need to be more like vibram Soles. Make room for pads and heel elevators Walking on granite rock is very uncomfortable will poke you through the soles and the sides of the boot Probably be a good boot for Flatlands or the desert. As far as WATERPROOF is concerned I stood in the Stream up to my calf for a while. It did not leak, but even the next day I could wipe water Out of the top layer wondering how long it would take to penetrate the inner kevlar core. Spray waterproofing did not seem to help. SNAKE PROOF I am skeptical because after breaking in they got really soft and flexible. QUALITY BEWARE, On mine the right outside panel is not sewn flat and caused the wrinkle that digs in at my ankle."Breaking in did not help." I gave it a four because it might be good for Flatlanders. Not Mountain folk. A Good pair of waterproofed high top loggers will give you the same protection my RedWing loggers lasted me 30 years.

Nice walking boot

I used an odorless silicon spray on them when they arrived. Have had no problems crossing small streams or tall wet grass. If you want to go stand in a brook by a rubber boot. There was a little break in time not bad though

Great snake boots for land surveying

I've purchased these boots before and they recieved a couple years of strenuous use before their run came to an end. Held up very well, so I ordered my replacement and they fail to disappoint.

Rocky has stepped up their game!

It’s been several years since I bought a pair of Rocky brand work boots. Last time I wasn’t too impressed. The last pair of patrol boots didn’t last long and started coming apart. I gave them a chance again for a pair of these snake boots that I wanted for adventure motorcycle riding. They had good reviews and I wanted to give them a chance for the value and good reviews. I’ve used them for riding for a few months now and I’m impressed! First, I tested them by wearing them to pressure wash my fence. It was three days of soaking wet spray and sloshing through muddy grass. They didn’t allow a drop inside! They are very comfortable. I am a size 13 and they are perfect. The insoles are comfy, and they are extremely light weight. The toe is not a steel toe but it is very firm. I’ve worn them to ride my adventure motorcycle in hot dry weather and some cool weather so far and they are holding up very well. I’ve hiked around in them a bit and camped with them. I did cut a pair of socks off to make a leg gaiter to sit at the top of the boot where it contacts my upper calf/lower knee. There’s nothing wrong with the boot, but when hiking, the upper portion of the boot will move as you walk and irritate your leg so that’s how I fixed that. All the seams are holding up great. The laces are plenty long and stay tied. There is also a locking mechanism on the ankle which allows you to cinch the lace into it to make the lower “shoe” portion of the boot a little tighter and not affected by the long lace allowing it to loosen. I usually use that if I’m walking a lot while camping, but daily I don’t worry about it and it makes the boot easier to take off when the lace isn’t locked in there. I am very pleasantly surprised and impressed with these boots. Very comfortable and they are holding up well to my 6’4”, 230lb frame for riding, walking and keeping my feet dry. Good job, Rocky! I’ll be buying more boots from you!

Excellent boots, decent price

The boots are comfortable and lace up easily. My feet are on the wider side, but I don't consistently wear 12W, but that is what I ordered and that is what I got. Size was accurate, and they are slightly wider than I needed but fit well enough. I have worn them once so far and they are certainly waterproof, though I have not and do not intend to test whether or not they are snake proof but they seem to do the job. Will update review after hunting season.

2 different sizes in 1box

The media could not be loaded. Great boots!!I’ve had these in the past and they’ve lasted 6 yrs, but started to leak!! Ordered these same ones, but 1 comes as size 91/2 the other is size 10,You’re kidding!!! Who packages this stuff up?? Fortunately, if you add a pair of insoles, they fit fine!! I’ll keep them, but somebody needs to do their job a little better.

Mal maquiladas. Ridiculous quality control.

Horriblemente mal cortadas y cosidas, por el tipo de material y de marca es una vergüenza, se nota que no las hicieron en México. Terrible control de calidad. Aparte están mal diseñadas de forma que nunca quedan apretadas y el hecho de que tienen muchas irregularidades en el cuero porque están mal maquilladas hace que lastiman mucho. Qué pena, las necesitaba..
