De zwarte nylon dopmoer, ook wel dopmoer genoemd, heeft een koepelvormige bovenkant die blootliggende schroefdraden op stangen, tapeinden en bouten bedekt. Nylon biedt weerstand tegen slijtage, corrosie en veel chemicaliën en oplosmiddelen. Het materiaal is een sterk maar lichtgewicht plastic en is niet geleidend. Nylon kan vocht opnemen of verliezen, wat de afmetingen en mechanische eigenschappen kan veranderen. Moeren zijn bevestigingsmiddelen met interne schroefdraad die worden gebruikt met bouten en draadstangen en tapeinden om componenten te verbinden. Verscheidene verschillende moerstijlen passen bij een verscheidenheid aan toepassings- en installatievereisten. Sommige stijlen, zoals zeskantmoeren, dopmoeren, flensmoeren en koppelmoeren, moeten met gereedschap worden vastgedraaid. Andere, zoals oogmoeren, duimmoeren en vleugelmoeren, kunnen met de hand worden vastgedraaid. Perfect color and shape
I have been looking months for this color of shade....it is a very light beige and beautiful. The SHAPE is also PERFECT. I just ordered 3 more to replace the rest of my shades in the living room. The reason for 4 stars is the overall quality. I have looked at dozens of shades from various companies in the past few months and the overall quality of this shades is not quite as good as some of the other ones. Thank you

Hard to find size found at last.
This is a very nice, tailored-looking shade, and it comes in several sizes. My $70 shade makes my $15 yard sale floor lamp look like a million bucks. So yes, it's a little pricey, but when you find what you want, it's time to stop looking and pony up.

Nice enough to steal off the neighbor's porch!
Yes, my lampshade was in its Amazon box and was stolen by a couple of teenagers on bikes. I guess they really weren't impressed, since, believe or not, it was RETURNED to my house, undamaged. The box wasn't even completely opened. Fortunately, I like it better than they did. It's a nice shade, especially for the price. The material has a slub, like a silk, although it's obviously synthetic. For the price, that's not unexpected. What I like the most is that the size and shape are perfect for the lamp, and it's decently made, no loose threads or trim coming off or anything like that. I don't think the fitter is brass, it's bright brass-colored. I have it on an old lamp with a solid brass harp, and the quality difference is apparent. Depending on your lamp placement, you might not see it at all. But it's one of those signs that speak of a high end shade vs. a medium quality one. This one's definitely medium, but it's a decent buy.

Perfect!
There is nothing to dislike. The quality is good and it beats running around to Lowes or Home Depot. If you know your measurements and the shape you like, it’s a no brainer. Try a lamp shade you already have from another lamp you have to get an idea.

Perfect replacement!I
The shade I needed to replace had top and bottom diameters half an inch wider than the Royal Designs shade. I worried that half inch a lot before ordering. But it made absolutely no difference. And I'd paid far more for the original quite a few years ago. It paid me back by starting to dissolve into silk shreds at Christmas. I love my new shade. It really is beautiful and perfect.
