Great Work Buddy

In every job I’ve had, I’ve bought this sturdy and dependable cart. Almost indestructible, you can load it up and it still maneuvers so well. Finally bought one for my husband and it’s become his buddy…bringing out car wash supplies, tools when working around the garage, using for lawn care. Can easily be hosed down. Just a great and so very-well-made product.

Great cart for home use and MADE IN USA

This is the third cart for my home. Goes together easily, it helps to clear the holes for the casters of plastic debris from the manufacturing process. Do NOT use a power screwdriver on the self-tapping screws that attach the legs to the top -- the plastic will strip easily if you don't have the "feel" of using a regular hand tool to know when to stop. Also, a socket with a 6" extension will make castor installation much easier. The steering casters can be installed on either end of the cart -- to make it push/steer like a shopping car does, or "backwards" on the handle end (the way my cart is set up). Now, you have the handles available to be able to lift the cart over the thresh-hold found on exterior doors. If set up as a shopping cart, the steering wheels will turn sideways when traversing the thresh-hold and you have no handle to be able to lift the load-laden cart past the thresh-hold!

Love this cart.

This makes taking in a car full of groceries so much more pleasant, especially when buying packs of water or multiple drinks. I've used these around work for hauling, and as a portable worktable and never been disappointed. I don't have experience with other brands, but Rubbermaid has always turned out well for me. Just make sure you get the size you need; you have to store it somewhere. Also, if using as a table around the garage or for trade work take note that not all versions have the holes built in to make spool holders out of.

Close, But No Cigar

I gave this cart only 4 stars because while the cart itself was the commercial quality I paid for, the assembly was sheer hell. Here’s why: 1.) The plastic parts had sloppy tolerances and poor fit and finish. There were numerous sprues (pieces of untrimmed excess plastic) still attached that resulted in some sharp edges and projections that could result in a significant scratch to one’s hand or fingers, and also would have interfered with the parts fitting together correctly. These all had to be removed before assembly with flush-cutting pliers, which was a time-consumptive mess. 2.) The assembly sheet has no wording at all. It’s simply done in pictures that didn’t explain things, like my next point. 3.) The biggest issue was the fact that the 4 corner posts would not fully engage their socketed areas in the bottom shelf until the 4 bolts for each (which also held the casters on the bottom side) were tightened all the way down. To get everything held in place while bolting it all together required 4 hands (2 of which were my wife’s) and then a couple of tries before everything was compressed enough for each of the 16 nuts to catch a thread. If you try this by yourself you will learn new words and behaviors you probably won’t want your kids posting on You Tube. Two other points worth noting: It would probably be prudent to put metal washers under all the bolt heads and lock washers, to help further distribute the clamping force against the relatively soft plastic. Also, depending on what you want to use this cart for, decide before mounting the top shelf to the corner posts about whether you want the 2 swivel casters underneath the handle end or opposite the handle, like a shopping cart. This is simply personal preference but makes a difference for some.

Best to use ratchet and long handle screw driver

Use the cart for auto detailing. Got tired of going in and out of garage to get various items when I detail my cars Now I put things I need on cart and have right at car side Also can lay orbital polisher or tornador or extractir tool on top where it is handy and not dragging on the ground. This cart is solidly made.Looks indestructible. Two shelves allow enough space between shelves for putting talker items on bottom Putting the wheels on is a bit awkward if you do it yourself but manageable. Best to use ratchet and long handle slotted screw driver. Better yet if two people are there while one hold hold the wheels and screwdriver in place while the other does the ratcheting. Definitely should have at least one locking caster or cart may either run off on a slight slope or worse run into your car if not careful Tried to purchase locking caster at Home Depot. Tried two types of 5 inch locking casters The casters are standard as far as the mounting holes but on one type of locking caster the lock was in the way of wheel clearance and the other type locking caster the wheel would not clear the bottom of the cart so in either case the wheels would not turn. You could probably rig up sonething to get a llocking caster to fit if your so inclined but really lack of locking caster can be problematic for detailing purposes. Should be included. Cart is otherwise excellent.
