Frustrating wait time
The test is accurate, after the first use the clear container gets died by the testing materials making the subsequent tests less accurate in my opinion. The 30 minute wait time to get a result is nerve wracking when you are worried about copper levels

Better than the SeaChem Copper Test
I’m using Cupramine and the SeaChem test results are showing twice the amount of copper than is actually there. If you know anything about treating with copper, you know there’s reason for alarm when the results are twice what they should be. I searched the forums and noticed that a lot of people already use the Salifert kit. It’s not spectacular but it’s far more accurate than the SeaChem kit. When I test this kit for accuracy, the results make sense but they didn’t even when I used SeaChem’s test water with SeaChem’s kit.

Got this & Seachem copper test
After initially dosing CUPRAMINE in 37 & 55 g tanks, I was unable to get the SALIFERT test to turn blue, including doing a test using the seachem copper tests reference water (should read 0.5). The SEACHEM copper test worked, showing shades of blue within 10 minutes, including an accurate 0.5 for the reference water included with the seachem kit. Objectively the salifert test doesn't have the granularity of the seachem, with a 0.5 -> 1 jump for one of the color bands... I think the seachem works better by requiring the use of a 2nd regent, which in itself is also the limiting factor, a miniscule (difficult to see/measure) amount is provided/required.. I guesstimate 10-20 tests would be more accurate for the amount of regent seachem provides. Ultimately I will be (begrudgingly) using the seachem kit. My final thoughts are that both SALIFERT & SEACHEM reviews are plagued with inaccuracy, & perhaps the efficacy of the kits with different types of copper ought to be posted, instead of a blanket claim of general compatibility.

Worked perfectly as intended
Works well especially for low readings. Important to hold vial to paper like instructions state. I made the mistake of looking at vial from top to bottom at first.

Great as always
there products cost a little more but I feel safer using them because of previous false results from spoiled test kits.

Not suitable for Copper Power
If you are using “copper power” this is not suitable since it will only register up to 2. You need between 2.35 to 2.5 to be therapeutic but there’s no way to utilize this reading. Be aware when buying this product
