Great Salomon quality

I got these for my 7-year old so he can have the same kind of Salomons I've been wearing for many many years. Although these are kids, they're the same quality as the adult version. He loves the quicklace system, but i made sure he also has a pair of tie-lace shoes so he doesn't regress and forget how to tie his laces. I was tired of him burning through cheap shoes before he outgrew them, so I don't mind paying for quality.

Not durable! Hole after only 3 days!

One shoe has a hole worn in the exterior after only 3 days of use (around 10 miles of light hiking)! The other shoe isn't showing similar wear. Very disappointed in the durability of the exterior fabric. My daughter says the shoes themselves are comfortable and loves the colors.

Best traction

Salomon has an excellent tread design making it stable on ice as well as dirt. I've been searching for another pair of speedcross for a couple months. It seems they aren't available...anywhere. Then I converted my adult womens shoe size into big kids. Amazon had 1 pair left at a fraction of the cost. I am thrilled that they fit and are as comfortable as my original pair.

Best grip for hikes

Salomon’s are the best we’ve found for hikes. Hard to find this shoe size for boys. Had to order from Amazon. The shoe fits well. The grip is great for my teen. He enjoys parkour and back county hikes. We use these for the beach as well. They hold their grip while climbing on slippery rocks at the beach and in the mountains. Haven’t found a hiking shoe that matches it’s function.

Wrong item shipped

Said the correct colour on the box but black shoes were inside instead of the purple shoes ordered… they also fit different so thinking they were a different style … sad as my daughter had the same shoes and loved them so we ordered another pair … now it’s 3x the price to order the purple colour
