Not for big heads

If you have a big head, these will kill your ears with too much pressure. I had to heat up the center of the band to widen them. I am now able to use them without any pain in my ears. So, I do recommend them.

Better than others

This type of ear protection doesn’t work well for me in general. But after trying several brands and types, I’d put these at the top for what they are.

Good inexpensive earplugs

They work well, but they take some getting used to. Very uncomfortable at first until you can figure out which way to stick them in your ear so they don’t hurt. Really a great deal for the price though.

They create noise because they sit on my neck and chest and every rustle vibrates up to my ears.

They take some adjusting to fit into my ears well, but work good once they are.

I use these for my lawn mowing and leaf blowing chores, because i wear a larger hat to cover me from sun and i cant wear ear muff type protection. The plugs do pivot on the frame to allow adjustment for the angle you may wear these on ( I end up wearing them with the strap under my chin due to the hat I wear) and once I get them dialed in they reduce the mower / leaf blower noise level acceptably.

Well made

They don't go right into the ear canal so the noise reduction is not great. They were too tight but I was able to adjust them by using hot water to soften them up and then running cold water on them to make them stay where I put them. The main reason I want this kind of ear plug is because I have to wear them at work and I do not want to have to touch them with my dirty fingers to put them in and out when I have to listen to what someone is saying.

Depends Upon Your Needs

These are nice and good fitting hearing protection. You may be different, but I felt these were inadequate for use while shooting indoors. I think they would be good for outdoor shooting and for protection against other lower level (than indoor shooting) noise environments. For indoor shooting I am currently using 32 NRR soft ear inserts AND a pair of inexpensive headset type hearing protectors. I find this is more comfortable for indoor shooting ranges. The soft inserts are adequate by themselves but I wear the headsets for added comfort and protection.

Not great for me

Not sure these cover the ear canal as they should, sound is not as loud but definitely not as good as similar style I’ve had in the past. I think the cone shape makes the end hit the ear, and then the rest of the cone doesn’t cover the ear canal as it should to seal. Nevertheless, not the sound protection I was hoping for. Materials are good though.

Good Quality for home or music concert use

Do not use this on a construction site, tried it. This doesn't block noise from saws and compressors. This will help for home use such as if you live in a shared house. it should block noise levels commonly found at home. I just use them to sleep or to block out noise during meditation.

They work

These cut down noise quite a bit. You have to wiggle the ear pieces around in your ear to get the right fit. I wish the band was larger. When hanging on my neck I feel like they are choking me.

Très efficace pour moi .

Je travaille dans une usine et dans mon cas se produit entre assez profond dans mes oreilles pour bloquer tout sons indésirable et même celui du gars qui est à 10 pieds de moi qui essais de me parler normalement .

Not for me!

Hearing protection is highly subjective, not everyone will be comfortable with every product. I find/ found these Sellstrom somewhat painful for prolonged use, the earbuds dig hard into my ear canal, causing irritation after only 10 or 15 minutes.
