It's Expensive

The manufacturer doesn't provide enough information on the filter quality. The back of the filter is different than the original filter. The original filter was fine. It captured dust and hair. The original filter didn't have the "charcoal" backing. The fans were clean so none of the dust escaped through the filter. The new and original filter fit very tight. The original filter lasted 7 months before getting the first warning indicator to change the filter. The "smoke and odor" claim; it's not clear if I need that for the cost of the filter. The only time the Shark HE400 indicates poor air quality, fan runs at 100%, is when we are cooking. It sits in the hallway 20' from the stove. I like the smell of cooking. Shark needs to have filter choices, different uses, with reasonable prices. The price is good for every 12 months but not for changing the filter every 6 months.

Don’t be me

Change your filter as the machine indicates. Don’t put it off. Dont bang the old one on the porch railing and knock off the surface dust. Just change the filter. I waited and waited due to the cost of the filter. My allergies got to me so I changed it. Very glad I did.

Fit perfectly works great.

Fit perfectly works great. Noise level good same as when air cleaner was new. A bit pricey but didn’t find a good replacement cheaper. Recommend

Good Filtering Quality

I was wondering if it will have the same quality as the one it comes with the machine. So far I don't see any difference. It eliminates any smell or odor quickly. It's great if you don't like to smell (good or bad) anything in your place. My sleep quality is improved and my wife who has a sensitive respiratory system stopped sneezing and coughing since I installed this replacement (The original one had reached it's lifetime already). So, this tells me it is indeed effective in filtering air pollutants in the room.

It works fine but can’t figure out how to reset the button that reminds you to change filter . I’ll keep trying

Air Quality

This works great for my air purifier & definitely works how it’s supposed to. Whenever it’s time to change my filter, I open my machine and can smell all the gross smells that were captured.
