Comfortable work boot
I’m an aircraft mechanic for a regional airline. These boots hold up. Very comfortable from the first moment I put them on. I’ve put these boots through the works, 10+ hour shifts. Oil resistance non slip as advertised. Boots are well made regardless of where they are manufactured. If you are looking for quality boots at a great price. You have found it.

Good boots but you need an insole.
They fit as expected and as any other boots if you're not use to wear them it will wear you down. Other than that they fit just fine. I suggest half size bigger. If you're going to work more than 5 hours with your boots on, get some insoles you will need them.

Great boot, very comfortable, sturdy yet presentable for customer meetings
The boots came on time, in a Skechers box with all the necessary packaging to protect them. I ordered a 13W to make sure there was enough space for my wide foot and toes. The fit is perfect, not loose, not tight, comfortably padded all around, with plenty of room inside the steel toe protection. These boots are tough yet presentable enough to visit customers. Great for those trips when you need to also visit sites or factories. You can walk in them all day without feeling trapped. Very happy with them.

Better than what you should expect for the price, But....
I ordered these more to try moving up to a "Wide" sized boot/shoe size. Looking to do so without spending a large amount of money I looked to Sketchers, and even saved more by purchasing a "used very good condition" pair of boots through the Amazon Return Warehouse link saving approx. 50% on the price. Fit wise these do seem to fit great as for foot placement on the arch and toe box area. The heel sets in place as it should. The metal toe shield does drop down just a hair and give me some concern as to how this my feel over time. However, this appears to be a non-issue with the fit and comfort to my feet. Now on to the boot itself. These suckers are heavy. Yes, I know that steel toe boots are not going to be a light weight jog in the park type shoe, but these feel heavier than past steel toe boots that I have worn. They are listed as 100% leather, however the tag in the boot list the upper as leather and man made products. With manufacturing technology being what it is, it is very hard to tell what is or maybe leather. The appearance of the embossed leather looks more to be pleather (plastic or fake leather). I did press down on the leather toe section of the boot with my thumb nail and drag it across the leather grain and there was no scuffing of the material surface as I would expect from leather. I am sure that there is leather used in the manufacture of these boots, but to what extent I won't even fathom a guess. Questioning the leather aside, these should give me a fair return on the money spent. They will be worn mostly for working around the house doing yard maintenance, tree cutting and removal, and such lighter demands for a metal work boot. Are these worth the price of admission to try them out, I would have to say that from my short experience with wearing them the answer would be "Yes". For an inexpensive pair of all around work boots and keeping in mind that they are inexpensive I don't see how they could be a disappointment as to my expectations.

Great boot!!! Hold up very well, and comfortable for my big self as a full time diesel mechanic.
For 25 years of being a heavy line diesel mechanic I have run through some boots. I have bought some $300 boots and was satisfied with them. I have bought some under $100 boots on Amazon. When the reviews say the eyelets come popping out.....They do. I got these Sketchers in the $50 range and couldn't be happier. I have had them for over 6 months, and you know I don't have one complaint. The soul is not wearing out on the heal or pealing off on the sides. Great boot for the $

Wide fit is not wide fit
Ordered this a 1/2 size larger than previous Skecher shoes as it will be a work shoe but the wide fit is still too narrow. It would be uncomfortable for a day on the job and the boots are a tad heavy if the job requires lots of walking. These got returned.

These boots have very poor grip on snow and ice. Unsafe for outdoor work. Not recommended.
