nice basket for anything, looks good, been buying this brand (and style) for about 10 years

I have several Spectrum Diversified (Scroll) products. Not purchased all at once. I have been adding to my collection over the past several years--dating back to 2014! All in perfect condition. What I like is that they use a steel material and not a cheap wire. It makes all the difference in performance and overall look. I didnt have a direct need for this. I dont intend to place bread in it, ever. I do sometimes make use of a narrow long basket for apples or vegetables. I saw this listing and basically made the impulse purchase. I totally adore it. It does not work for a "bunch" of bananas, but it works nicely for my bag of vidalia onions that I dumped into this basket. I would use it for apples, peppers, potatoes, avocados, stuff like that. Or for snacks. I like that the bottom portion is caged so stuff doesn't fall out. I have their utensil holder, a tiered fruit basket, a large fruit bowl, a fruit basket with banana hanger, a paper towel holder, and now this "bread" basket. I dont use all the baskets at once, but will choose one or two based on my needs at the time. I am loving this basket. The material feels a tad thinner than other products, so I hope that isn't reflective of a quality change. Coating looks good, no chipping. So far still 5 stars. If I notice anything off or otherwise worth mentioning I will be back to do so.

Very nice!

I love that this matches my other kitchen pieces. My 14 year old surprised me by saying how much he liked it for storing our packages of sliced bread.

Lovely quality item

Sad that I have to return it as it is not the right size for my needs. (Too small for a loaf of store bought bread. The bread fits, but the wrapper hangs over.).

Sturdy

It's a very pretty metal holder. I bought it for as a bread basket for bread or rolls for dinner parties. The only problem for me is, it's heavy. So when passing around a table it's a bit heavier than I wanted. It's great however if you're doing a buffet and it's sitting in one spot. It's very well made, but if you need something lighter to pass rolls around the table, something lighter may be easier to handle. I plan to use it on a cabinet with decorator porcelain balls in it.

Used to hold onions on my kitchen counter

Tons of uses for this thing. Great size. Sturdy and level. Looks great on my counter. I put a cloth napkin inside and store my onions in it.

Arrived with coating chips in the plastic bag

The bread basket looks good. However, there are coating chips in four places. This is disturbing because who knows what the components of this spray job are. Made in China, so.... The dilemma I'm having now is whether to return this product, which would consist of a lot of wasted energy in the form of manpower, gas, time and inconvenience. Or do I throw it in the trash so it can be added to the never ending piles of junk in landfills? Maybe I can use a Sharpie to fill in the chipped parts. I shouldn't have to consider doing any of the above. This product should have been wrapped in some type of tissue paper, not just thrown in a cello bag. Penny pinching at the expense of the consumer. The new normal.

Good quality for a good price

Really like this. High quality, doesn't scratch the cabinet top, keeps items inside above the surface of the table if a beverage is spilled around it. Wish I had purchased one double it's size, just for increased versatility, although, it is much more compact than the wicker basket I used to keep on the cabinet as a bread and snack holder (and with our large family I just pile one loaf on top of each other and when I want to use it for fancier occasions it's easily accessible for use. Overall, super happy with this and how it goes with the other products in this line. It will be even better when the kids get a bit older and I make homemade bread more often. In the meantime, it a more attractive option for keeping my breads out on the cabinet, next to the matching banana/fruit basket and silverware holder on the cabinet.

Cute but small

Very attractive but very small. Even though I took note of the measurements before ordering, it still was smaller than I thought it would be. I wanted to use it to store small snacks on the kitchen counter. I can only fit a few things in it. Wish it came in a much larger size. But it’s cute.
