Summary of this review: Minus two stars for the fact that I did not receive a moose. I chose this particular toy to purchase because I love moose. Minus one star for how quickly the rope inexplicably broke. Minus two stars because the leather is extremely thin, especially considering the fact that it's coated with glue inside (adhering a layer of jute), so if your dog quickly chews through the thin leather, as mine did, you might want to confiscate the toy before it starts ingesting the glue. If you choose to do that, it's possible your dog will have only a few minutes to enjoy the toy. Since it's made in China, where they don't have stringent guidelines for pet toys, I would be suspect of the possible toxicity of the glue, as well as the chemicals used to treat and dye the leather. Also be aware there is stuffing inside, which your pet might have access to within minutes. Full review: First of all, I ordered this toy because I love moose. However, I received a bear. Secondly, I had thought it would be tough, because it's made of leather and the rope is thick, but my pup destroyed it more quickly than she has ever destroyed a toy, of which I provide her with many. For one thing, the rope broke in half. I can't even imagine how that happened. It isn't chewed upon, just broken clean apart. She also quickly chewed off an ear. Since I hadn't anticipated her even starting to damage the toy so soon and therefore the need to closely supervise her playing with it, I didn't notice her accessing the stuffing (which I hadn't even realized was in the toy) until I saw her eating some and she already had half of it down her throat. I pried her mouth open and pulled it out. Since she does still love the toy, I removed the rest of the stuffing and am allowing her to continue to chew it. It's unfortunate, because I'd had it on a wish-list for her for quite a while and was excited when I finally purchased it. My greatest disappointment in it is that it isn't a moose, because the moose aspect is the reason I chose this toy. After re-reading this item listing, the only other logical way to interpret it is that three assorted toys are included in the purchase. Nothing indicates that the customer would receive one of three different items. Edit: I have realized that the reason my dog tore this toy up so quickly is partly that she loves chewing on (and eating, apparently) leather, and she has no other leather toys. However, as I now closely examine the leather, I see it is extremely thin, bulked up a little with the layer of jute glued to the inner surface of it. Now I wish I'd confiscated it from her as soon as I saw her chewing it up, since I hadn't considered that she has been eating glue. I'd thought the leather would be ok to chew on since leather is natural and non-toxic (although as I re-read the listing, I see the toy is from China, which makes me suspicious of what the leather might be treated and dyed with). As part of this edit, I'd intended to add a star back to my review because I hadn't originally realized how much my dog loves chewing on leather. However, I will leave that star off due to the thin-ness of the leather, and the fact that my dog isn't a big chewer anyway, so a dog that is, would probably chew up the whole toy in no time. The coating of glue, and the likelihood of the toxicity of the glue and leather due to the country of origin would cost another star if it wasn't for the fact that I could have realized all that if I had thoroughly considered and analyzed the details in the listing, since it does mention the jute, so it can be deduced that something would have to adhere the jute, and also the country of origin is included in the details. On second thought, I will remove a star for it after all, since I think it's important for potential purchasers to consider this information before giving the toy to their pet, and I believe that many - if not most - people read one-star reviews. Also, I think more people pay attention to reviews than read every detail of a listing, much less consider every ramification of the details. Since this review is now so long, I'll add a summary of it to the beginning.
