Cats ripped it apart within a few hours
The wool ball itself is pretty durable. However, both the string and feathers came off of the ball within a couple of hours (my cats like to “rip” at them). Not sure if my cats are just extra aggressive with their toys or if both of the things mentioned above were poorly attached.

Ordered 3, one came broke.
They shipped me one with the ball detached from the string. It's no problem since my cat still plays with it. Other than that the ball is durable. A little to hard to swing around the kitty, but definitely can tell he won't shred it up in a matter of a month.

Came broke but cat likes it
Only giving this two stars because my cat likes it. The string is the same as hair tie material, so big bonus if your cat likes hair ties. Stick is too short as stated in other review AND mine also came broken without the ball attached and it wasn’t even in the envelope pouch for him to play with. Not even worth getting a replacement.

Ball is too heavy so caution not to bonk kitty!
The ball with feathers is very well made. The elastic is sturdy and very stretchy. Here is where a potential problem comes in. When kitty lets go of ball the elastic snaps away and can bonk kitty. The ball is heavy. Once this happened I removed the ball for her to play with which she enjoys (minus feathers cause she eats them). Now the stick with the elastic she LOVES! I wiggle it around and she will chase it until I stop. She knows which drawer it is in and will go sit above it trying to open. For $4.99 I've found a creative way to make this well worth the money. I am picking up another one and will do the same with it. :)

Eco friendly alternative- don't expect miracles
I bought this to replace the plastic Leaps & Bounds wand toy that snapped. This wand is considerably thicker but is shorter. The cord connecting the ball is stretchy so I can bounce it along for my cat to chase. She has bunny kicked the ball with no serious damage to the ball but the feathers fell off within minutes just from my shaking the toy/her swatting them. At the end of the day it's a cheap cat toy but it's much nicer than the plastic junk it's replacing.

Cats love this
My foster kittens and cats love this toy. However, the feathers came off within the first day of use. Also, the wooden handle is sturdy and nice but it's way too short. A longer handle would work better. I do love the felt ball which is durable. I hope that many of my fosters get to enjoy it.
