LEKBESTENDIGE DOP: Onze thermoskan voor warm eten wordt geleverd met een lekbestendige dop, die lekkage en morsen stopt. Keeps soup hot long-term!
I wanted some form of container that could allow me to eat hot soup at work- twice. The ideal would be one meal about 4 hours in and another 4-5 hours later (8-9 hours after initially filling the container). I tried five different food jars and none of them made it to the 4 hour mark. Then I heard about the Stanley company. They've been around for over 100 years and have a stellar reputation among outdoorsy types. My needs only required surviving the car trip to the office and then sitting in a drawer, so I can't speak to their claims of being super tough and durable, but as far as temperature control, they're aces. This food jar barely loses any heat by the 4 hour mark, and manages to deliver pleasantly warm (not hot) soup after 8 hours, even though at that point it's only half full. I pushed it even further by not preheating it with boiling water before adding the soup and it still came through like a champion. I have used this for miso soup (very thin broth), French onion soup (thick broth), Irish potato leek soup (thick, chowder-like), and a split pea (so thick it's nearly solid). All stayed warm. So have beef pho (lots of large pieces of vegetables), chicken and sausage gumbo (with rice), and udon noodles. I got crazy one day and filled it with couscous right off the stove. It was a bit challenging getting the last of it out 9 hours later, but it was still pretty warm. The container is also very easy to clean. It's a bit heavier than the other thermoses I tried, but not so much so that it's uncomfortable (I'm a not especially strong woman of a certain age). The one and only drawback is that the thermos has sort of a Ralph Kramdon-type vibe to it. It is industrial and practical looking rather than cute, shiny, and pretty like some of the other options. But the cute, shiny, and pretty thermoses had me eating room-temperature soup. I have not tested this food jar with anything cold, but I can say with confidence that it can keep hot things pleasantly hot for at least 9 hours. I definitely recommend this product.

Great for Hot Water or Soups
It’s the weekend and you’re out doing your thing, fishing at the lake, or maybe spending time up in a deer stand. Or maybe you’re out in the garage, working on the car. In any case, time’s a clicking and the tummy is talking. It would be nice to take a quick break and have a little bowl of hot soup or Insta-Noodles. It sure is nice to know that this Thermos won’t let me down. I love mine. It’s rugged. I love its light green, speckled exterior—it looks totally old school industrial. Nothing prissy about it. And I especially love that hours after I put it in, the water or soup pours out, steaming hot, into the built-in bowl. Mmm! Now that hits the empty spot. Warms my insides right up. That Hangry Monster is quenched. Well, I screw the cap closed. Wipe out the bowl and screw it on, too. I toss the Thermos back into the box holding my other “stuff” and get back into what I was doing. Something so simple and dependable. If I had to do it over—you bet—I would buy it again, without hesitation. You might wanna think about buying one, too.

Great for warming up baby bottles!
I bought this because I purchased another thermos from a baby brand specifically designed to heat up bottles but that thermos leaked and was poorly made. Stanley is a tried and true brand and keeps the hot water hot all day with no leaks. This thermos is large enough to hold enough water to heat up multiple bottles/ frozen bags of milk, but small enough to fit in my diaper bag. The wide mouth bowl is big enough to fit a bottle in it for heating, tho it’s not tall enough to fit the whole bottle so I will swirl the milk occasionally to evenly distribute the heat.

Great product but packaging was not great
Great product, but they just place the food jar in a box, no bubble wrap or paper or plastic to protect the item. It was just shaking in the box. Whoever package this item, you are very lazy.

Great container
I made my husband soup for work at 11:00 at night, put it in the container and left it in his lunch bag. I told my husband if it is at least warm by his 12:30 pm lunch time the following day, I’d be happy. At 12:30 the following day he called me and said the soup is still so hot that he had to leave the lid open and let it cool down. Steam was still emanating from the container when he opened it. Very impressive ordered another one for his pastas and dinners
