Some tradeoffs, overall quite good.

Soft lining, wide rolled edging and fairly thick padding ensure no chafing, even worn for extended periods. Leather used is very thick but sometimes has shaggy backing. Surface takes very well to mink oil or similar preservative, gives the kind of plain hide a very rich, rugged, institutional look. I got both the ankle and the wrist sets. The leather thickness on the straps varies a little bit, as bridle leather is a natural product, but is fairly consistent. The cuffs occasionally have SLIGHT differences with exact length, which can in some cases result in an unbalanced feeling if you're prone to obsessive-compulsive tendencies about the way things fit. Can be a little difficult to tighten exactly how you like, as others have said, but this is a common issue with locking leather straps because of the extra width of the holes that the buckle uses. My recommendation is to use a leather conditioner to soften the oil, wear them for a while, and help them to naturally stretch and flex. They'll fit better over time.

Great Product/ Wrong Size

I think this is an excellent well made product. It is a classic for nostalgia fans. However the size I received is 14.5 inches long. That is the ankle size. I now have 4 ankle restraints and need the wrists still. I have updated my rating to one star. After receiving a refund for the wrong sized product (ankle instead of wrist) I went ahead and tried my luck again. Bad choice! I now have 6! Count them 6! "ANKLE" restraints. It even says ankle restraints on the darn packaging and I have tried to order wrist restraints 3x now. Ughh,

Gorgeous, well made heavy cuffs for medical play or extended restraint, when padding is useful

Great heavy cuffs, well manufactured, padding is nice and smooth vs fabric so easy to clean & sterilize between playmates. Very effective restraints, though stiff. They will break in after enough use I am sure though. Worth the cost for the quality and durability alone. Medical fetishists will love them.

A must have toy for any serious player!

An amazing product. Well made and beautifully designed! A classic for Hospital Nostalgia and many other types of playtime. They are large enough for extra large ankles and fit my smaller ankles perfectly on the next to tightest notch. The wrist restraints are coming soon and I can't wait!

Very good feel, nice and wide.

These are durable, well built cuffs. They are nice and wide, and have a good thick padding inside, so you can wear them for a long time and it's still comfortable ;) I have zero regrets about my purchase, and I have already bought the wrists now to match. If you like this style, go for it for sure!
