Het veiligheidshekje West End voor de zomer is geïnspireerd op traditionele interieurtrends. Het metalen frame van leisteen en de honingkleurige eikenhouten deur van gebeitst hout is een geweldig accent voor elk huis. Sturdy and beautiful

The gate is very good quality, attractive and the instructions are easy to follow. I assembled it myself last night but think it would've been easier with the help of a 2nd person. Opening the swing gate takes awhile to get the feel of and the adjustment of tightening the top tension nuts to engage the holes in the frame with the gate pins is a little tricky and seems to have everything to do with how much effort it takes to open the swing gate. The gate and extensions are very strong and sturdy but the latch is plastic so I'm hopeful it will not break with the amount of use it's going to get (that's why I gave it 4 stars). I love how the gate closes on it's own with a little push and will also stay in an open position when needed. I'm a little nervous about guests possibly tripping and falling over the threshold so I think I will make a "watch your step" sign to have on hand for when folks come over or will maybe take the gate down temporarily, which will be very easy to do. I'm using this gate to prevent my dog that has a spinal cord injury from getting into the room with a tiled floor that he cannot get any traction on, even wearing gripper socks on his paws.

The perfect baby gate.

I have two of these gates and they both work great. I love how they look and they feel very sturdy. I have twin boys that like to pull at the gate and it never budges. Inspired by another reviewer (James), I cut the bottom of one of the slats, turned it 90 degrees and secured it with brackets to allow our cats to pass. Everyone's happy!

Easy to assemble / has withstood a toddler who likes to climb

I took away 1 star because the first package I received the wooden part of the gate was broken, however they did send me a new one right away and there were no problems with returning it. With that being said this is a great gate! I have a tall 18 month old who has learned how to climb out of her crib/ out of playpen & over other baby gates but she has yet to figure out how to get over this one bcuz it's a little taller ! Also it's easy enough for adults to figure out quickly but just hard enough for little ones to not get the hang of opening! Definitely would recommend this gate (:

Following installation instructions makes for a great gate and great experience - sturdy and safe

I had no problem installing this gate nor did I experience the "faulty gap" issues so many have where the gate would latch to the supports. Its actually supposed to come like that and warns you this does not make the gate faulty but is necessary for proper insulation and when gate is properly installed the gap disappears. We needed a gate that would spam 56 inches to keep a large new puppy out of the hallway where the kids rooms were to stop him from carrying off their toys as his. We ordered the gate and fitted it in place picking the extensions need to fit the 56" span. Once we knew where the pressure rings would go we used the drywall installation instructions to mount the holders in the wall for extra sturdiness. I think we could have simply used the adhesive attachments but puppy will grow to over 100 pounds so we wanted the extra hold (hopefully before then he will learn what toys are his and that he cannot help himself to others toys). This is where its important to note: until your gate is fully installed and you tighten it in for the final installation you will have a gap where the door would normally latch and the door appears off center. Once fully installed and mounted properly and tightened into place you will see, as you tighten the gate at the wall, the gap slowly goes away and door then is on center, and teh latch will work correctly. Every gate will come with that gab, which allows for the correct pressure installation, so seeing a gab and sending the gate back for a replacement is going to get you a gate with the same gap. This gate, installed as directed, is the sturdiest gate I have ever purchased, especially one that has to span such a width. Its also well made and looks very nice with the wood and metal, can actually look more like furniture than a barrier. I definitely would recommend this as a gate that would be safely used at the top of the stairs to prevent falls, for adults as well as children. Its also tall enough that its not going to be jumped over even by a very large dog (horse could probbaly do it through) unless its was in a hallway or area where the animal had 100 yards to run before leaping over. Even my cat, wise in the way of baby and pet gates, found that vaulting over it was not as easy as it had been in the past with other gates.

Broken on arrival

Box had been opened and was probably returned. Damage on the wood and when I pull back the top latch only one of the little lock things retracts... so I can't open the gate. I live on a remote island so it's a huge pain to return this. Super disappointed

Not an exact fit & broken on arrival

Gate does not properly fit a 5' gap. Very misleading. I needed a set of extenders to get it to fit properly. In addition the latch arrived broken and it will not open when pulled. Very disappointed. Edit: Received a replacement quickly, however it also arrived broken. The latch still won't engage both pins. Extremely disappointed.

Warped

Metal is badly warped and the gate won't close. It was from the baby registry, so it's well past the return window now that it's time to install it.

Does the job.

Opening mechanism was very stiff the first few days. Older kids had trouble opening it. We have it the maximum width and the joins are a little wobbly when both my twins are shaking on it.

Looks Good

It’s looks really nice and is easy to set up but it’s not the best quality. Compared to our others, it is flimsy and harder to open and just feels like lower quality for the price. But nice to have an option that matches our decor.
