Best one out there

If you don't want a 'Smart' scale, this is the scale you need. No Bluetooth. No WiFi. No Apps. No BMI or Fat%. No multi-user memory settings. It weighs stuff - well. It is accurate (compared to several doctor office scales); It is precise (provides the same reading repeatedly without deviation, regardless of how you stand); It is easy to use (just stand on it for 5 seconds - none of this tapping it and letting it zero or start-up); It is easy to read (white LED numbers on black background). My wife bought this for travel home nursing - portable, reliable. I tried to save $5 and bought for our use a RENPHO (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NND18SK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that was just a waste of money and useless for anything other than a paper weight.

not reliable

doesnt alwayswork...a battery cleaning or change will solve theproblem for a few days, to havethe problem emergeagain! i have thrown out so many batteries thinking batterieswere the problem. and, i cant get a refund!!

I just purchased this after buying a WEIGHT WATCHERS SCALE that was a total disappointment, for the WW name! It wouldn't do anything! I am weary of all the negative reviews on this model and am hoping for 2012, Taylor made improvements. Are there any happy customers with positive reviews here? Taylor, if you're reading these, can you please help all of us and those to come to your product, what happened to get all these negative reviews? I'm very concerned about my product. I can't give a point score yet as it just came out of it's box for the first time. I will follow up. Thank you. 2 Months later, I wanted to update. I have had no "real" problem with this scale. The LCD area is the best part, as it is large and clear. Yes, sometimes the numbers flip flop a little, but if you just get on, and then off, and leave your weight there, you will enjoy the scale much more. I have gone off and then back on and agree with some, that it flip flops and at times,it's frustrating, but after having other scales, this one so far, is fairly accurate, is a nice firm construction, good weight and a handle. I would buy another one if the need came. I give it 4 stars. If it didnt flip flop from time to time, I'd give it 5. As for the lcd, that is worth a star.

Very accurate, well designed bathroom scales with large display.

I purchased this item from Amazon. The first one I was sent had a problem with the display. The lower part of it did not appear. So I returned it for another one, which I now have, and it seems to be working fine. I really like the design of these bathroom scales. Very easy to read without needing to bend down, or wear glasses. These scales are very accurate as well. They are very light, and easily movable with the handle at the top. I have owned a number of bathroom scales, some digital, some standard. They haven't all been well made, and some of them have given very inaccurate readouts, that have varied enormously every time I've stepped on them. In contrast, the Taylor scale gives a consistently accurate reading every time. I'm happy that I chose these scales, and I'd recommend them to anyone.

one small problem

The scale works fine. I was unpleasantly surprised to discover that it does not work properly unless it is placed on a hard surface. My bathroom has carpeting and the scale does not work right on that. I even tried placing plywood under it but it still doesn't work quite right. Since my entire upstairs floor is carpeted, my only recourse is to leave the scale downstairs, where there is some hard flooring. This is not convenient but will have to do. The documentation that comes with the product does mention this limitation, but the online description should, too.

Easy to use and continues to display for a few seconds after stepping off

I have never owned a home scale previous to this so I have no basis for comparison. I needed a scale that would continue to read even after getting off so I could use it to weigh myself and my bike to set up suspension. This was one of the few I could find that provided this feature. Step on, wait a few seconds for the scale to stabilize, then step off. The display continues to show the weight for about 5 seconds after stepping off providing enough time for me to set down or get off my bike and see the display. The carry handle is helpful and makes it easy to move and stow away after use.
