Tight for a wide

Not the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Craftsmanship is excellent, but for a wide, it is very tight across the top of the foot. It is the same for both boots, so it must be the Last they use during construction. I would have sent them back, but they do not offer this style in EEE. I oiled the leather and after two weeks, the fit is alittle better, no pain, but still tight. I assume they will continue to loosen up with use. Only time will tell.

Nice boots.

Boots looks great I spend all day driving with them and boots are very comfortable. Feet don’t stink as they do with carharts or disgusting and uncomfortable Timbers. My wide toes feel great in this boots. I don’t have blisters in my feet. Leather is good and the sole really holds. I hit one of the toes while getting on the semi truck and I make a shave on the leather. It should be a great boot if the shoe laces had the conventional hole to tie them up, it has only three holes at the bottom and one on top and rivets in between. Shoe laces all over when loose. Unas botas de gran calidad las recomiendo si te gusta tener tus pies bien protegidos en el trabajo las botas son cómodas y tienen un aspecto excelente la suela no se derraba y los pies no huelen después de usarlas como las botas chinas que hacen carhart o Timberlake Los hermans Que venden en Walmart. Si Amazon no pone mi review no vuelvo a escribir una en toda mi vida.

Disappointed

The boots came smothered in some kind of thick brown polish that stank to high heaven. It was so bad I couldn’t keep them in the house. This is my fourth identical pair and probably twelfth total pair of Thorogood’s and this stuff is not indicative of my prior experience with any of their products, much less a natural crazy horse finish. The stitching and construction is consistent with my other pairs and I don’t think they’re counterfeit or anything. They fit as they should and the leather appears to be high quality and proper grain. They’re breaking in as expected and fit as they should. After a week with no subsidence of the smell I scrubbed them down with saddle soap and they’re a lot better. Time will tell if they patina as they should. I will buy my next pair in person, and if this isn’t a one time fluke I’m probably done with the brand.

They're OK

I bought these because I had heard so many good reviews and they're made in USA. They feel solid and after a couple months of breaking them in they'er not uncomfortable. They're not remarkably comfortable either. I think they will last a while. Might be a half size small, maybe just my pair. Buy them, support American made products. Or don't.

Boots are heavy!

I'm moving and on my feet all day in manufacturing. Description boasts how comfortable they are but I disagree. First, they are heavy! Enough said! Then, they felt like walking on a 2×4 barefoot all day/hard soles, I even tried new insoles that were pricey, no better. If you are not on your feet all day they might be fine but not comfortable or the weight practical if you walk alot.

I used to buy timberlands, bought keen qx or 2x but I bought a pair of thorogoods 3 years ago. Still solid. I just change my insoles with keen insoles every 6 to 9 months. Union made also. Price went up recently but for 3+ years I'd say still worth it

The Boots are fantastic. Very nice quality.

You get what you pay for. Quality, durability, and the right wight. Fits comfortably well. Quality craftsmanship. If you want them to last, you must learn how to clean them. I would buy these again.

Great boots!

Boots are very comfortable and have good soles and support - a lot better than other work boots I have tried. I'm a repeat customer - on my second pair and will continue to buy (unless they do what other brands have done and start making these with cheaper quality...) Right now they are GREAT!!!
