Simple great container for coffee.

I buy ground coffee and I use this to keep my coffee in. It easily hold a typical bag of ground coffee (12-14 oz). My coffee is always fresh. You can hear the air being pushed out when you close the lid. Very simple and easy to use. I also own the container for pet treats.

It has misleading description, it is not vacuum sealed at all, it is AIRTIGHT and from what I could tell is was perfectly airtight. But I bought it to keep the oxygen from spoiling coffee/tea and it only seals. If you are in a humid area or so it cannot reduce humidity reaching the food/crackers, but it will be airtight and keep things dry if splashed. I hit return within an hour because I had been looking for something to reduce the oxygen getting at my coffee.

Nice for storing coffee grounds

Ideally, coffee should be ground right before putting it in the coffee maker. But if you're someone like me and don't always want (or have the time) to do this, then proper storage of the grounds is essential. I had been buying ground coffee and storing it in the bag it came in, but found that by about 3/4 of the way through the bag, the coffee would start tasting bitter. So after reading reviews here I decided to try this container. And I'm very pleased with it! I was a bit skeptical that it wouldn't keep grounds fresh any longer than just leaving them in the coffee bag, but I filled the container to the top and am now just about through using all of the grounds, and they still don't have any hint of bitterness or going stale. There's a plethora of things you could potentially store in this container, but for coffee, I give it two thumbs up.

Bought the 16 ounce which is quite large and needed a second one so I went with the 12 ounce. I like the containers, just don't think they're worth the cost. Look who's talking because I've bought two now.

The best coffee containers I found so far

This is the second time we bought this - one for brew and one for the Turkish coffee we cannot be without :) We finally have containers that keep the coffee fresh and smell lasting. Sincerely recommending these!
