Easy to use slightly small

It's very easy to use and clean especially for frying. I also use them for preping. Just a bit small. We only have 2 people so not a big deal. For frying, it only hold 1-2 pieces of chicken when breading.

Just what I was looking for

I like these, they are compact for frequent usage, kept together, I always know where they are, just grab the set and get started. A lot of the reviews complained about the size and "how can you be a serious cook" and use these, well I feel like I am a serious cook even though I now only cook for two. I have taken classes all over the world and have cooked for most of my life. Certainly, I wouldn't try to prep large amounts of food, like pounds of clams in the summer or a dozen Haddock filets, on those occasions I would haul out my more seldom used items. But on a daily or weekly basis these fit the bill for convenience and space-saving utility. Use it, put it all in the dish washer......done! Prep food for 1 to 6 persons easy.

Another must have kitchen tool.

I dread breading anything-it’s always messy and cleanup is a chore. The Tovolo Food Prep Trays get you organized, keeps most of the mess in the trays, dishwasher top rack safe, and nest together for storage. I saw these years ago at WS for $50, couldn’t justify spending $50 so kept using assorted pie plates. Really happy with this purchase and the price was right—not quite as grumpy making chicken parm. anymore.

since the pictures look like you could deal with a normal Schnitzel-sized item

Food Prep Trays are REALLY small. Not sure if I can make even a normal sized Schnitzel in it, let alone a big one, which is the one that usually causes the mess, chicken strips should be OK. I haven't looked at the dimensions (my bad), I just expected it to be large enough, since the pictures look like you could deal with a normal Schnitzel-sized item. Well, learned another bit. Apart from the size the article is EXACTLY what I was looking for. So I'm a bit sad :(

Very nice but small in size

These are great for breading, but the are quite small. Check out the dimensions first. They are fine for 3 or 4 chicken breasts, but if you are breading larger pieces or batches, you would need larger ones. For the 2 of us it’s perfect.

Small trays, good quality

Check the dimensions, don't be like me. These were way smaller than I was thinking, but that's my own fault. Otherwise there Super convenient, portable and great for breading small amounts of fish suggest perhaps.

These are so SMALL!

I returned these immediately. I had not scrolled to the …more description where they give the dimensions as 5.88" W x 8.13" H. The “package” dimensions were much closer to what one would expect breading trays to be. Tovolo is such a good brand; I don’t know how they could try to sell these dinky trays.

Too small for most food.

This is reasonably made, but it is very, very small. It might work for rolling cigarettes or fixing jewellery. The tape measure is 7 inches and the coins in the trays are quarters. It is small.

Too small

This is a really great product but too small. If you have a long piece of fish or larger cut of meat, forget using this. It's too bad because the product is really nice otherwise. It just needs to be a little bigger.
