The ugly stik is a great rod as I do have 3 ugly stiks of various types from ultra lite to medium action. The "ad" stated that the reel had 4 or 5 ball bearings (can't remember the ad) and came with only 2 ball bearings. My granddaughter wanted a "camo" rod/reel so I bought it thinking of the extra ball bearings in the reel. My granddaughter is happy with anyway. I gave it a 3 because of the lower ball bearing amount. If it would have been as advertised, I would have given a 5. Also could have purchased this combo at sporting goods stores for the same price.

Great Product BUT???

They shipped a new 6.5 foot rod in a 3 foot box! They bent the rod to fit it. It’s a testament to ugly stick that it didn’t break it. I’d rather fish bend my rod not the shipping department.

Returned it. Top piece of rod was missing. Had to go to local store to get a different one
