Get Your Own Hardware!!

If you take anything from this review, know that you should immediately go to your local hardware store and get slimmer anchors and screws with a harder metal. Make sure to bring the screws with you so you gte the right sized head to fit in the bracket. My fiancé and I decided to put these up last weekend thinking it would take 30 minutes. It took 5 hours. We used the recommended drill bit size of 1/4". The wall anchors sent with the curtain rod are huge; big white spirals that are not at all easy to get into the wall, and if you go up a drill bit size they're too loose. We had to go to the hardware store after putting 6 huge holes in the wall due to not being able to get the anchors in. We got spackle, new anchors and new screws. We had to get the screws out of the wall anchors since they were not fitting well/crooked but the screws were stripped immediately. We had to go to the hardware store a second time to get a screw extractor so we could have the brackets to hang the curtains. We only were able to get one removed so we had 2 of the 3 brackets to use as the other was stuck in between a stripped screw and a wall anchor. As soon as we switched to using the wall anchors and screws we got ourselves they went in with no issues (went down 1 size in drill bit - you can always go up if the hole is too small). The anchors and screws were installed so fast, and the rod was up in 15 minutes. We did not put up the third bracket support in the middle because it's stuck with the crappy hardware that came with the system. I will continue trying to remove the screw, otherwise ask if the company can provide an extra bracket. Otherwise the design and sturdiness of the product is fantastic even without the middle support, however I would feel better with it there. Hope this helps!

Best curtain rod ever!

I originally recommended these curtain rods to my son for his first apartment just based on their pictures and I just recently purchased them for my new apartment and I couldn't be happier. I've never installed curtains and drapes faster. The installation was so fast and so easy I can't wait to put the rest of them up. These are a 5 star product all the way! I'm even thinking about preemptively purchasing more just to have on hand for the future.

Looks nice, weird dry wall mounts

I've only had it hanging for a few days, so I can't yet speak to the sturdiness of the curtain rods themselves. (If I ever update this, it'll probably only be because they fell. So if this isn't updated, that means I am happy with them long term). The dry wall mounts for the screws were very large and unusual. I hadn't seem something like them before. I used them for the first two holes, but I wasn't able to get them flush with the wall despite using an electric screwdriver to pre-drill my holes. I used my own dry wall mounts after that, which worked way better. I would encourage future buyers to do that, too. Besides issues with the initial set up, I think it looks really nice. I was especially glad for the low price point for the long curtain rods.

Perfect!

I was looking for a wrap around curtain rod for my basement. This was perfect. Super easy to install and to switch out curtains. Would rate a 5. Gave it a 4 because while they are easy to install, you can't put the rod too close to the ceiling due to how the top of the bracket slides onto the wall piece.

Don't worry about the reviews regarding mounting.

I read so many reviews saying how hard it was to mount this once you get the 3 little plates screwed to the wall. People noted that you then had to slide the 2 end pieces of the rods down onto these plates and it wouldn't go down all the way. This is easily fixed by backing the screws out from the plates on the wall slightly to allow room for the side pieces to slide down onto the plates which then makes everything snug. My other concern was would the shorter 24"-48" inch rod work on a window that's exactly 48" wide and the answer is YES! The straight rods easily extend to 48", but then the 2 end pieces that wrap around extend another 3" further on each side giving you about 54" wide that is actually covered by curtain which is perfect! And because there is a middle bar it's plenty strong in the middle of the rod even when fully extended. One last note, there is plenty of space between the 2 rods, maybe 3" that allow you to easily pull back both curtains without getting them bunched together. Altogether a sleek and sturdy, excellently designed double rod at a very reasonable price that is a great solution when you like your curtains, but want to put a set of light blocking curtains behind them.

Good Rod, pain to install, horrible drywall mounts

The rods are good, but it's hard to install these as you cant get to the holes in the mounting system unless you remove it. I ordered 4 of these, but one came separate and had different dry wall screws that were smaller and worked better. The other 3 have larger dry wall screws that maybe the instructions are wrong for, but they break easily when you try to put them in the wall. As others have mentioned, worth buying some better more robust dry wall screws. Also as others mentioned, the mounting system can't be flush with the wall, needs a little space, so end up either having to loosen the screws a bit, or have to push it down hard and mark up the wall. I ended up putting some very think washers between the wall and the mounting. Would suggest looking at other products if you want an easier install.

Be sure to mount them not too close to ceiling

Since these need to slide on once you've mounted a small piece, you need to leave space above them to allow the hardware to slide on the to the mounted piece. That was a learning moment, but besides that, it was a breeze. They are invisible when the curtains are closed. I love mine.

Great double curtain rod!

I only gave four stars because I find it really frustrating when I pull the curtains closed and it gets stuck on the join. That being said, I would highly recommend them still! Easy set up, beautiful matte black and love that they are slightly hidden when the curtains are closed. The minimalism of them is quite lovely and I was able to put a narrow wooden shelf above the curtains as there aren't any large ends or pieces that get in the way. We ended up buying enough to put one in each room in the house.

Best Curtain Rods!

These curtain rods are so easy to install and, sturdy. I like them so much I’ve bought 2 more since this purchase. Important Note: if you’re planning to install your curtains at ceiling height you won’t be able to install flush to the ceiling as you need to leave space to place the rod over the anchors (2” - 3”? needed?)

Very smart system. Great price.

Very well thought out. Easy to install. Curtain rods are threaded and end pieces have studs. Once end pieces are mounted simply load curtain on the rod and hand twist the rod onto the ends. No ugly hardware is visible etc. Very clean.

Nice gold colour. Need space between rod bracket and ceiling.

I didn't buy it for black out because a regular curtain rod will do just the same. I did like the shiny gold. When I received it the packaging looked beat up and some missing packaging materials but the product itself was fine but with some minor scratches and a bit dusty which is no big deal, and all the pieces were there with instructions. Just like any store, you will see packaging opened up or perhaps returned so you would still buy it if you liked it. I would've kept it and liked the low price but noticed that you would need some space at the top in order for the bracket with the rods to slide into the other bracket on the wall. I have a short ceiling and I need my curtain to be near the top. So I ended up buying a different double curtain rod from Amazon.
